I went to the Artichoke Cafe last week for a birthday lunch. The service was excellent, the place was very busy. I ordered crab cakes, which I try almost everywhere I can. They were rather disappointing. Not much flavor. Not good crab. I really like the salad and salad dressing. Dessert was very good.

A meal on a busy Saturday night provide a great meal. The beef tenderloin was cooked as requested, tender and full of flavor. The eating area was a bit loud to easily carry on a conversation with my partners. Wait staff were professional and attentive to the right degree. Parking was easy with an area close to the restaurant with... More

This is a great lunch place with friends, or a date night. For first or blind dates, I love meeting in the bar. It's quiet, cozy, with a good bar and wine list, plus the bar menu is just right for sharing.

We heard a lot about the great food at this restaurant. We walked in just before 5pm for an early dinner. The hostess told us that she could not seat us, since the staff was still tasting the specials and the restaurant therefore wasn't ready yet. We left and came back half an hour later to finally be seated. The... More

My wife and I just went to the Balloon Festival. We were looking for one nice evening meal out and I found the Artichoke. It will be a regular stop in Albuquerque from now on. Staff and food superb. I love artichokes and they have steamed or fried. BUT, from the moment we arrived it was great. We went early... More

Dining early on a Saturday evening I felt that the wait staff was clearly catering to parties that were ordering cocktails and wine and slighting my table when I ordered a bottle of sparkling water and entrees without appetizer. Food was of excellent quality and well prepared. The butterscotch semi-freddo was a standout.

The restaurant is charming, the staff was very attentive and friendly. The menu was varied with several special additions. The food was excellent the presentation also excellent. The pork chop was perfectly cooked and tender. The steak was delicious. We all enjoyed our meals. The flourless choc cake was the perfect ending

Overall very good. Super decor, presentation and service. Food was good however both entre and deserted fell short of historic. For me the shame was that I ordered salmon to be raw/cool in centre which was agreed to be medium/rare. It was cooked through, which was a shame although I did not send it back (salmon is forgiving). It still... More
