If you like salmon try the smoked salmon dinner. It was excellent. It was my first time eating here. You order at the counter and then your food is brought to you. The server was both friendly and helpful. I would definitely eat here again
The combination of great people and good food is a winning one, and this business has got it down pat. Worth the detour from a drive through from state to state - and worth taking your time to enjoy this BBQ gem.
I always go to Mr. Powdrells everytime I go to Albuquerque. I have been and lived all over the south and this place has the best and authentic southern cooking. Been going here since 1974 (since old location on San Pedro). Best BBQ out there, and not just in NM. Great menu with everything from fried catfish, and chicken fried steak to delicious and succulent BBQ. Be sure to get a side of coleslaw, it takes just like my grandma's!
Powdrell's BBQ! Good people serving great food! I had the mini plate - Beef Brisket, Corn Bread, Collard Greens, beans and rice and ice tea. I am getting hungry just typing this review, and I just ate! Delicious!
