Great Mexican food. The menu was partially New Mexico style with its sweetness, the other part was traditional Mexican food. Would go again.

We enjoyed our three course dinner, finding the ambiance and food to be just right at this classic New Mexico restaurant. Guacamole with chips, margarita, a combination plate to sample a varied selection, a tamale platter, accompanied with sopapillas served with local honey....all very good. The service was friendly with the right amount of attention to our needs. This is... More

I asked my native ABQ friend what one place she would recommend and Cervantes was her favorite of all. I ordered a Prickly Pear Margarita and the #1 Combo; taco, tamale, enchilada, adovada, rice and beans and two sopapillas. Margarita was different, but very good as was all of the food. Excellent service, great atmosphere even in the lounge where... More

Cervantes is a unique restaurant and bar. It is thoroughly New Mexico in cuisine and friendliness. The food is very very good - my wife prefers the green chile stew, and I like the burrito with chile on the side. But the main claim to fame is unequivocally the best Prickly Pear Margaritas ever! Well, that, and the service. It... More

Of 100 different brands of salsa available in local stores, my wife favors the roasted salsa from Cervantes. So we had to try out their restaurant. The decor is common for Mexican food restaurants and the service is fine, not great, and the food is surprisingly good, deserving a better ambience. I ordered a carne adovada enchilada with an egg... Our group ate here while in town for the balloon festival. We were seated in a room by ourselves even though there were only 8 of us. That led to below par service. We had margaritas which were nothing to write home about. The chips were good, but we didn't care much for the salsa. The tostadas compuestas was a... More

Went there on Halloween night and the restaurant went all out with decorations and waiters and waitresses were all in Halloween costumes.

Mexican and New Mexican dishes make up for the majority of the menu. The food was well prepared and tasty, I had the chily on the side to be safe. Good Margeritas, good beer, amiable service.

Cervantes knows how to do Halloween! Went in for a late lunch and ended up staying for the Halloween Party. Whenever I am in Alburquerque I make Cervantes a place to visit. Food is good and the service is wonderful. I usually sit at the bar for food service and great conversation! My cell phone died and the staff was... More
