Excellent red and green chile. The fresh, house-made tortillas are among the best anywhere. The service is perfect. It is a special gem in Albuquerque. HIghly recommended. Don't miss it.

The restaurant started out as a 3 or 4 table corner of the pharmacy, but business expanded so much that the owners built a new pharmacy with a restaurant that occupies about half the space.

This is one of the best, if not the best, New Mexican restaurants in Albuquerque and New Mexico. It's home cooked food as you'd like your grandma to make if your grandma is a Hispanic from New Mexico. Some of the cooks have been there...More

The food at Duran's is good. It's "Down Home." Informal. We know it for New Mexican cuisine. However, it is much more than a cafe. The gift shop is one of the best in ABQ. High quality items, memorable, slightly quirky, one-of-a-kind finds. Oh, and...More

I think it's gone downhill. I liked it the first time but each time since has left me more disappointed. The service is far slower and the food was lacking. Asked for extra lettuce and got less than a teaspoon full. Beans are tasty but...More

This is a full service pharm but also with tons of gifts though take note, we did not see locally made items. The food was feet and fast. There is parking. It is a good stop between downtown area and old town that is a...More

When you walk into Duran Pharmacy, it's easy to get swept away by all of the goodies in the shop. That is, until you smell the wonderful chili aroma coming from the kitchen. The breakfasts here are legendary. I always enjoy the breakfast burrito with...More

Basically a lunch counter in a pharmacy, this place has some excellent, but casual food to enjoy. They make their tortillas and red & green chiles fresh. Very small seating area. Worth the visit if you are looking for something authentic in town

This is not just a drug store, but somewhat like yesteryear with a dinner that has great food, and older drug store items . Go in you will enjoy stepping back in time.

In business since 1942, Duran Central Pharmacy is one of the oldest commercial establishments in Albuquerque. The pharmacy has grown considerably over the years, reflecting changes in the health and medical fields. The original soda fountain has grown into a small restaurant, serving New Mexican food and is famous in the area for its red and green chile. Duran's offers a wide variety of products from all over the world - from medicinal herbs to imported chocolates and fancy soaps to trendy gadgets. In addition, there is no better place for a genuine New Mexican enchilada or green chile cheeseburger!
