I wish I could get authentic Chinese food in ABQ. I haven't found the place yet but on visit to Rising Star on Chinese New Year we had a good experience. It is well done Chinese-American food. Not as much spice and flavor as I would like but not too bad. Very friendly and professional staff. Sesame chicken was great!... More

We've ordered take out several times and have never been disappointed. The shrimp with lobster sauce is pretty good as is the beef with broccoli. The pot stickers are yummy. The interior is very nice, we generally order takeout as they don't have beer/wine and we like a glass of wine with dinner. Best Chinese food we've had in Albuquerque.

This is one of my favorite Chinese food places to eat. It is small so get there when it opens at 11 am to beat the crowd. Hot and sour soup and shrimp dishes are my favorites.

The restaurant was crowded, always a good sign. Ordered Chow Foon, disappointing. Will try again but not the noodles. Oh well.

If you're over 60 and hanker for the kind of food served at the first Chinese restaurant you visited, this strip-center spot might be for you. The dishes, even the options of ordering combination plates, are straight from the 1950s. They are fresh but bland. Some of the hot dishes have some pep, but otherwise you'll need to ladle on... What a great find from Trip Advisor! Loved their combo meal choices with a main entree and a couple sides . Fresh ingredients, served hot, with wonderful hospitality and fast service. Highly recommend a visit to Rising Star Chinese Eatery when in Albuquerque.

Have been to many Chinese restaurants in Albuquerque and without question this is one of the best. My first time there and couldn't believe how good. Staff is Chinese and they know how to cook. Hot & sour soup great, happy delight delicious. If you're tired of looking for good Chinese in ABQ, give them a try. You'll not be... More

Okay, it was very busy, so we'll try again, but for our first time here I had high hopes. We've been looking for a good Chinese restaurant in Albuquerque, and the reviews were positive so I was hoping this would be our new favorite place. Sadly, the food was mediocre. The chow mien was flavorless. Very bland, even with soy... More

Walked in and got seated right away. Received our beverage and placed our order. Food arrived fast, hot, and fresh. Excellent place to eat: food, atmosphere, and staff all top notch. Very good prices.
