Food was just average. Wait staff was courteous. My friends did love the elk stew which was served in generous portions.

We stayed nearby at the Wildwood Inn and decided to give Trailhead a try. We were VERY surprised to find this very good restaurant by the Fall River Visitors Center at the entrance to RMNP. I had the trout, which was superb; my husband had the skewers (lamb, elk & bison) which were ok, & he was glad to get... More

Had lunch here on entering park after drive up from Denver airport. Soup & sandwich was average, not bad but not great either. It was windy and colder so we ate inside. Probably would have enjoyed it more if we could have been on the outside deck with a view.

Good food , Service good very nice atmosphere. This is just as you finish or start going through the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. They have a very nice gift shop . If you want to eat outside they provide tables on the balcony.

Great place to eat before or after a visit to RMNP. My wife and I stopped for lunch one day and the service and food were great.

We stopped here for a late breakfast on Saturday, September 12, 2015. There was an annual Scottish festival in Estes Park and many roads were closed off. We were staying close by, so decided to stop here for breakfast on our way into Rocky Mountain National Park. It was a beautiful morning so we chose to sit outside on their... More

A good choice to avoid the crowds in Estes Park. Some may not know a restaurant is attached to the gift shop. Good service, food was acceptable. Coffee (my yardstick to measure a restaurant) was bitter.

Excellent service. For Burgers, the food was good. Portions were decent, price was moderate and the views from the back of the restaurant were outstanding. This is the last restaurant before you head in to the National Park. Everyone enjoyed their meal.

Our first meal in Estes Park was very tasty. The calamari was spectacular! The burgers (bison for my husband, elk for me) were both so tasty and nicely cooked. The fries were tasty, too. We sat outside and the view can't be beat. Loved walking around the gift shop after we ate.
