We go to Estes a few times a year and usually go to The Rock once or twice for happy hour. This time we also ordered one of their pizzas to take back to the condo, it was exceptional. Whole wheat crust, very flavorful and crispy. We added elk sausage and jalapeños, they were spicy but great. It's full of... More

Had a trout special and kids had pizza. Food quality was good but agree with other reviews a bit overpriced. Service was good but waitress asked if I wanted the house salad or would prefer a spinach or ceasar... without telling me they were an upcharge. It's a pet peeve of mine. I could have asked but I shouldn't have... More

We visited on St. Patrick's Day. They had some great live music and the food was acceptable. Great service and very friendly atmosphere. I found the prices a little high which is why I awarded 4 not 5 stars.

My wife and I have been to Estes 20+ times but never ate at the Rock Inn until now. The outside looks a little like it would be a great place to get into a bar brawl... Nothing could be further from the truth! Family environment, lodge like on the inside, cozy, gracious servers and staff. Great menu! I had... More

Fun laid back atmosphere. Great food and service. There was a acoustic guitar musician performing which provided nice ambiance but still allowed you to have a conversation with your friends. I would definitely go back.

This off-the-beaten-path restaurant is a gem. Casual, rustic mountain feel inside with finely-prepared food and good service. We tried their highly-acclaimed "Devils on Horseback" appetizer and were not disappointed. Both my husband and I ordered Filet Mignon and it was superb. The dining area has multiple fireplaces and, depending on where you choose to sit, you can enjoy their warmth.... More

We visit Estes often, but had never been to the Rock Inn. Friends who live there suggested it to us. Food was great, ambiance and service both very nice.

My wife and I ate here two nights ago and it was awesome. Not only did we enjoy a great meal (she had the bacon wrapped meatloaf and I had a bacon cheeseburger) but the live music was perfect. Our server, Rio, was exceptional. He gave us some suggestions on where to go hiking while in town. This is definitely... More

Dinner was fabulous and enjoyed the solo artist playing guitar. Definitely try the date appetizers-we'll have to make those at home. The trout was the best I'd ever had and hubby had the NY strip-rare and cooked to perfection. This was our favorite place!

Open 7 days a week at 4pm Sunday Mornings we are serving Brunch from 10am to 2pm Built in 1937as a dance hall for the Big Band Era, The Rock continues to be a lively gathering place with local flair. In the winter, our two wood-burning stoves keep the room toasty for folks stopping in for a beer or a bite after playing in Rocky Mountain National Park. During the summer season we enjoy stunning continental divide views from our outdoor dining patio. Our menu is an ever evolving blend of hand-crafted, hearty comfort food with a health and planet conscious twist. We aim to fill you up with goodness so you can get back to enjoying the mountains again tomorrow. We feature Certified Angus Beef, All-Natural Colorado chicken, fresh salads, whole grains, organic teas and coffees, local beers, sustainably produced wines, and a full bar. On Many Fridays after dinner, we set-up one of many original Colorado bands on our 76 year old stage, clear the dance floor and boogie all night. Some of the bands playing these days include Chain Station, James and the Devil, Old Town Pickers, The Sweet Lillies, Stringboard Theory, Cadillac Grip Funk, KC Groves, and many more. During the summer time, acoustic music acts play most other nights of the week, sunday nights are a mellower feeling as we host acoustic Colorado songwriters during dinner. You might catch Jon Pickett, Alex Thoele, Sarah Caton, Jay Roemer, Billy Shaddox, Jay Stott, or Terry Kishiyama and Ash Ganley. We also offer a great open bluegrass pick on Thursday nights lead by a few talented local musicians, either joining in on the pick or just sitting back and enjoying the bluegrass, tuesdays are a funny night of music. We look forward to having you join us. Reservations are not accepted, however if you want to give us a call, when you are on your way we will be happy to get a table ready for you or put you on the list. During the off-season there is rarely a wait. In July, August, and September it is best to get here before 6.
