I arrived approximately an hour after they opened and it was a 2 hr wait for a table. There are upstairs and downstairs bars which offer the full menu service (plus some bar-only items like made-to-order chips). The seating was a bit tight at the...More

Service is terrific. Our servers - Jake and Gabe - were personable, friendly and helpful sorting through the menu. Grilled pizza is a fun appetizer. Fried Calamari with Arrabbiata sauce is one of the best we have ever had. Rigatoni with Veal Bolognese Parmigiano-reggiano really...More

Building and ambiance are amazing. Server was the most professional I have ever had. Apps and main course (stuffed rabbit) were very delicious. The DESSERT was out of this world. You have to order your desert at the same time as your entry because everything...More

I've been dining here over a 17 year span and it still has the tastiest pizzas and pastries ever. They have an extensive menu with good food but honestly the best things are the pizza (margarita) and their fruit tarts. Their marinara is magical. The...More

This place was very busy on a Thursday (45 minute wait) so we almost left, and thank goodness we didn't! If you like thin crust pizza, this is as good as it gets. We also had a ravioli dish which was awesome. They make all...More

I'm not exagerating, this was the best meal we have had in the states in at least 5 years. We stopped by on a Thursday night around 7:30 without a reservation. The restaurant was very busy but this was not a problem. My wife had...More

Really good regionally inspired, seasonal Italian food. Great old-style pizza, generous drinks and terrific desserts. You're going to wait, but it's worth it. Yum. We've been here almost every time we go to Providence. Likely the best restaurant in town.

My wife and I visited Al Forno recently on a Saturday evening, based on its reputation for great grilled pizzas. We were not disappointed. While the entire menu looked impressive enough to consider return visits next time we’re in Providence, we went with the pizza....More
