We were travelling and found a recommendation for the Cup Cafe on TripAdvisor. We sat outside and enjoyed an nice meal. The food was good . The prices were reasonable and the service was good. I will go back if I am in the area. The hotel is pretty interesting.... look around. The locals say that the neighborhood is fine... More

The menu is very creative and much more sophisticated than you would expect. The Cup is located in the historic Hotel Congress. Inside it looks like a 1960's coffee shop. Don't let that fool you. There is also a very nice outside seating area. More importantly, the menu is creative and very well executed. I had the Cast Iron Baked... More

We ate here two times this past week. I had a clam appetizer "special" and tortilla soup, first time and a salmon special the second night. More than enough. The Bride had fish tacos and liked them. Outside music on Friday was great!

I just love this place. Besides the fact that it is located in the historic Congress Hotel, it is a gateway to the developing downtown Congress Street with all it's great people watching, restaurants from funky to gourmet and lots of entertainment (including in the Hotel Congress Club. Varied menu, incredible dessserts. nice outdoor space.

I recently travelled to Tucson and stayed at the Hotel Congress where a work related event was being hosted. Because the café is so convenient, and because of the novelty of eating in a restaurant that has such charm, I decided to give it a try for breakfast. The style, or ambiance, of the restaurant is 1940's or 50's diner...... More

I'd give this 3 and a half stars if I could. It was a very pleasant experience. The location and decor was very nice if somewhat quirky. Service and food on the whole very good.

We had Creole breakfast plus some pancakes and potatoes. We also had bloody marys. This is a unique place with tons of character and great food. Also the desserts looked AMAZING.

I always judge breakfast at a southwestern restaurant by their huevos rancheros - this is the best I've found in town. If you go for Saturday or Sunday brunch, make sure you avail yourself of the Bloody Mary bar! Many traditional and non-traditional ingredients to make the bloody that you want,

The service was low-keyed, efficient and just right. We enjoyed the food, receiving good recommendations from our server. (Note: he did not recommend just the highest dollar items!) We got there about mid-afternoon so it was not very crowded, felt very comfortable and relaxing. The historic value was not lost on us either. Just made you want to smile.

I've been going to the "Cup" as we call it since 1998. In that time, it's been dramatically transformed from a true local, small cafe with regulars in a small space to a restaurant that offers a full, varied and interesting menu. Best thing, breakfast goes until about 4 pm--I can eat breakfast all day long. And the pies are... More
