We stumbled on this little gem of an Italian restaurant while our RV was being fixed. Homemade pasta and sauce really good! I've had pasta in Italy to die for and Mama's ravioli with cheese was great! If you can't go to Italy, go to Mama Louise's.

Went here for dinner while in Tucson. The food was very good, but while it came with bread, the salad was extra. Somehow restaurants seem to think noise is a part of the experience. We could do without it. In our group of 4, we had shrimp in garlic and oil, spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli and Fettuccine Alfredo. All were... More

Joe's special is unforgettable! The marinara sauce & the cheese is something special. Who would've guessed that the best marinara sauce we've ever had is in Tucson! The people are friendly. Cozy Ma and Pa restaurant with charming decor.

It was nice to go to a neighborhood restaurant with decent food. Chicken parmigiana tasty with "Joes special sauce" on house made linguini for me and John had Joes special with chicken. A nice glass of wine completed dinner

My wife and I finally made it to this Tucson icon. Being in business since 1956 says a lot considering the restaurant turnover here. For appetizers, I had the Calamari and my wife had the salad bar. The Calamari was excellent -- deep fried and virtually no greasy oil in the bottom of the serving bowl. And it was large... More

Mama Louisa's has been in Tucson since '56 and three generations. We had spaghetti, ravioli and tortilini. The food had lots of taste and came to the table HOT ! Decor is casual. Service was both friendly and efficient. I was not a fan of their bread - kind on uninspired white bread tubes with perhaps a garlic butter wash.

We used Mama Louisa's to cater a large party recently. Owner Michael and his mother Suzy were great to deal with. They offered good recommendations, allowed us to come for a tasting and were very helpful throughout the process. On the day of the event, Michael arrived right on time with the food, set it up and stayed to make... More

We've been going to Mama's for over 25 years now. This is the THE place for traditional Italian dishes like lasagna and meatballs. My fave dish here is the eggplant parmagiana...thick slices of eggplant enveloped in a crisp breading with a generous heaping of a not-too-spicy red sauce. Very inexpensive for the quality and portions. Highly recommend this place.

I review this place as much as possible because it is a consistent winner in product and price. I mostly eat business lunches there and the service is great. The lunch time pasta bar is excellent and the pasta is made on premise. My favorite item is the combo veal Parmesan and Joe's Special (pasta and spicy garlic sauce). The... More

We visited 3 times when we were in Tucson. The bruschetta is fantastic, and with a glass of wine during happy hour, it is a meal. Spaghetti is so good. Get the meatballs. All wait staff is pleasant. Be sure to visit.
