Had the chicken salad and fruit which was fine. No lemon for the iced tea and the lemonade had a lime taste.

La Villita Café is located a few blocks south of The Alamo. The menu is on the wall and they bring your food to the table. We were there for breakfast and the egg dishes we ordered were good. They also serve lunch and dinner and they have a bar with draft beers.

Great breakfast and beers here. The breakfast tacos were excellent - selection of about 6 different ones and very reasonably priced. They also have a generous selection of other breakfast items. For afternoons, great sampling of craft beers, choice of 6 - 8 on tap. La Villita area is sort of under the radar so definite laid-back vibe here, with... More

Excellent breakfast served with great attitudes. The times on Trip Advisor aren't correct so check when the open.

I had the breakfast sandwich, eggs and brisket on a croissant and it was delicious! Also kind of huge, I couldn't finish it, but there were three of us eating together and we didn't send any of it back. One person in our group got the eggs benedict which were also fantastic. This is a great spot, loved the artwork... More

Spent a few hours walking the Riverwalk, and we were heading back to our car when we came upon La Villita. We had the chicken salad. It was delicious. And the fruit was even better. The price of $5.95 was great too. And the best part was they brought our dog a water bowl and cup of treats without us... More

Breakfast here was a very pleasant surprise. I saw the breakfast tacos at $2.40 and figured they had to be pretty small, so I ordered 2. I couldn't finish them and they were delicious! They were stuffed with eggs and bacon and were very good.

We were tired of the expensive ho-hum hotel breakfasts and went out in search of a more local-oriented place. We "discovered" La Villita Cafe just up the steps from the River Walk, in the middle of a restored village now home to numerous arts and crafts shops. Breakfast there was just what we were looking for, omelettes and pancakes among... More

OK, it was a Sunday at noon, but omg, this was the slowest service place I've ever been to, with no exaggeration! The food was mediocre. Noticing people around me, one dish was brought out at a time, after a long wait, with another long wait for your partners meal. Seemed like a lot of returned dishes for mistakes, too.... More
