Wow- great place to go eat. Walked in and they seated us immediately and close to the front so my mom who doesn't walk that well wouldn't have to walk very far. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced and the waitress was great. I highly recommend this as a very good little Mexican restaurant to go to. One if... More

My family and I while visiting San Antonio were so excited to try authentic Mexican food and wow were we disappointed by this place. Growing up in Southern California we appreciate authentic Mexican food but this was totally different than what we expected. First off, they didn't offer any kid's meals which was a disappointment. When asked they recommended a... More

Guijillos has the most authentic Mexican food in San Antonio. This is not a tex-mex restaurant. The food is more from Central to South Mexico. They also have an amazing lunch special. Their guajillo salsa is the best.

After discovering we'd be traveling by this restaurant, we decided to stop for lunch. Though they had many patrons there, we were quickly seated and served. We ordered the two top lunch menu items for 8.50 each. One was the spicy pork on tortillas and the other was a chicken and natchos dish. I had a margarita (frozen) which was... More

We have been eating at Guajillo's since it first opened. The food there is not your typical TexMex, it is Mexican. Since we moved out of San Antonio we do not get to visit as often as we did in the past, but we still make it a point to hit Guajillo's whenever we need a Mexican food hit while... More

I came with my colleagues for lunch and we had a great experience. The service was fast and Friendly, and the food was excellent. I ordered the "Bacalao a la Mexicana" and I wanted more when I finished my plate. Lunch specials cost $8.50.

Visited this place based on the great reviews. The food was too spicy and the rice was too salty I could not eat it. Disappointed. The waiter was nice though.

Very busy place. No real tacos, no enchiladas, no salsa. Everyone was having the lamb soup. We tried it, the ceviche, a,steak plate, and the margaritas. All good food, just not what we,were expecting. We,are used to Arizona Mexican food. They did look at us differently because we were probably the only non Spanish speaking people there. Still a one... More
