Ate here my first night. Great location, no wait, but the food was not inspiring. The enchilada with green chile was boring and needed more filling. The desserts looked good, though, and I enjoyed the sopapilla.

This restaurant is the oldest continuously operating restaurant in Santa Fe! Since 1905. And the food is EXCELLENT! Had the carne asada street tacos with red and green chile. Perfect heat too. Greek salad was great. The turkey club was made with really high quality turkey. Not packaged turkey. Tasted like it was cut straight off the thanksgiving turkey!! Overall... More

If you don't know about this place, shame on you! I ate here in 1998, and it was old then. Quirky updates (cool light shades) don't take away from the nostalgia. Have the Cashew Mole'. Outstanding Cashew Mole' with sour cream floating over shredded chicken, creamy beans and rice. And of course SOPAPILLIA's on the side, honey waiting in the... More

We brought our family visiting from Texas here for lunch. The portions are large, prices are fair, and service excellent. We enjoyed Green Chile meatloaf, Indian tacos, avocado BLTs, and a tortilla burger. Everything was delicious. We look forward to a return visit soon.

We had 6 adults + an infant in a stroller. We came here for lunch. It was crowded, but they found a table for us with only a 10 minute wait. We really appreciated that they accommodated our group. And the food was really good too. Two people in our party were from another country, so they had some questions... More

Right there at the Plaza, across from the park, perfect spot for a lunch break when you have been shopping around the area. Very extensive menu, great hamburgers, reasonable prices, friendly service. Definitely recommend it. Try some of their traditional New Mexico dishes.

Passing by the Plaza Cafe, we noticed people sitting outside waiting for a table. Thinking this might be a "good sign," we chatted with some of those patiently waiting, and they assured us that it was worth the wait. So, we added our name to the wait list. The wait turned out to be dramatically shorter than estimated and we... More

Stopped for lunch after reading glowing reviews. My wife ordered Frito Pie and I ordered a piece of the most beautiful Key Lime Pie I have ever seen. The service was quite good, but the food was disgusting! The Frito Pie had a burned taste and was nothing like the Frito Pie that I enjoyed as a youth. The pie,... More

Jerald, thanks for stopping in for lunch. It was a pleasure to host you and your wife. We aren't sure what went wrong with your order, but we're really sorry that it wasn't up to our standards. We will be looking into what could have gone wrong with the Frito Pie. Best, Daniel, Owner More

My husband and I both absolutely loved this place! The food was so good. We went for breakfast and I would have stayed for a few more meals. Pork posole was fantastic huevos rancheros were great! Husband said it was some of the best bacon he's ever had. Went on a Saturday morning and didn't have to wait. Perfect location... More

The Plaza Cafe on the Santa Fe Plaza is a historic restaurant that has reopened after a fire in Sep 2010. It is the dining hub on the Plaza. It reopened last week and I would like to write a review of my experience. Joe Shaffer
