My daughter and I stopped in for lunch while running errands in Santa Fe. We live in a small town an hour away with few dining choices and were craving a big juicy steak but there is no steak available during lunchtime. Other than that huge disappointment the atmosphere is lovely though better suited for couples. A little pricey considering... More

For a different dining experience here try the fondue. It's a multi-cheese mixture that comes with bread and veggies. This, and one of their excellent salads makes a great, different dinner for 2.

We ate at the bar on the Friday after Thanksgiving. It's a very nice rustic room with multiple flat screens to watch sports events. House pinot noir was very pricy at $14 and $16 per glass. Our shared fried calamari appetized was very good. Burgers start at $12 - $14 dollars, but they have an additional charge for every topping... More

The turkey dinner was excellent. The manager, Brian, and Missy, the bartender, provided great service during the very busy holiday meal.

We had a terrific dinner here and I would go back just for the prime rib. The restaurant is large but separated into smaller dining rooms. The decor was warm and service was attentive. Both of us had the prime rib and it was as good as we have had anywhere. The side dishes were good and the drinks hit... More

A great bar area in the back of the restaurant to have great good in a casual setting. Had the fried chicken which was excellent! Drinks could be stronger, but all else was excellent.

This is such a lovely place and I want to like it, but I just can't. I've never been completely pleased, and with so many places in Santa Fe where I AM completely pleased time after time, it's a shame that Rio Chama can't seem to hit the mark for me. On my most recent visit, I ordered the omelet... More

For the prices they charge they still use low quality meats... so so disappointed and would love to eat there more but we all found other places to go . Hope they catch up with the times we seek out quality food

Kimalix, We appreciate your feedback, and are always keen on finding room to improve, so thank you for taking time to voice your concerns. When possible, we source from New Mexico farms and ranches, as is the case with our braised short rib. In other cases, we look to regionally-sourced products, like the buffalo burger - bison from South Dakota.... More

I had better meals at McDonald's. Food is horrible, greasy, unhealthy. Not one item on menu is healthy. Service is slow and not attentive. Waiter was almost ignorant. Once you get your table, you feel trapped. I would never eat there again if it was last restaurant on earth.

After a long day traveling Route 4 from Albuquerque to see the Jemez Mountains, we came down the other side through Los Alamos and into Santa Fe. We were extremely tired and oh, so hungry looking for a good steak. We found it at Rio Chama! As we walked in the door we were greeted by Cheryl who could see... More
