We arrived at 630pm and probably got the best two top table. I had a Grey Goose "Sage Advise" which was great but I think my partners margarita was better. The venison and steak we're excellent. Get the onion rings. All perfect. The negative comment...More

This is a very up scale place. You don't chew your food, you just let in melt in your mouth. I told my companions that I would gladly finish any desserts they could not, but they all cleaned their plate.

We went for dinner on a Friday night in October. The restaurant looked full so I would recommend reservations. The service was excellent - one of the best waiters I ever had. The dinner was not inexpensive, but it was well worth it. Each course...More

We had a dinner here for a conference group of about 80 attendees. There was a small courtyard for the cocktail hour, and a lovely, attractive setting inside. The food was really excellent, for me starting with a scallop appetizer, then followed by beef tenderloin,...More

Having been to Santa Fe many times, this was our first experience with this well-established, somewhat formal eatery. Interesting sunken bar. Attentive service. Wonderful selection of wines representing a wide price range, but nicely selected. The decor is simple for this upscale setting. Particularly well...More

The Compound is a Santa Fe classic. The food is consistently good. Not extraordinary. The chicken schnitzel is not on the menu, but available. It's a good choice, but your sides are limited. One serious issue with this restraunt is that they do not allow...More

I cannot recall if they had any private rooms. I think if you contact them they may be able to set you up in some way.

Mark Kiffin, celebrated chef, owner, and author of the Compound Restaurant, has won the James Beard Foundation award as one of America's Best Chefs. The Compound is Santa Fe's premier restaurant with Chef Kiffin's acclaimed seasonal Contemporary American cuisine derived from Santa Fe's rich heritage of regional and Mediterranean influences. The New York Times, Gourmet magazine, The Wall Street Journal and Wine Spectator have all selected the Compound as Santa Fe's favorite. Equally impressive is the attentive, highly knowledgeable and friendly staff. Chef Kiffin's menus focus on the exclusive changes in seasons such as hearty braised dishes in the fall and winter using apples, pears and cider from local harvests, osso bucco and porcini risotto while in spring and summer feature fresh local vegetables and naturally raised organic lamb and delectable strawberries.
