Excellent choice for tapas and live music, a little bit of Spain in New Mexico! Food was excellent - great for sharing. 5 tapa plates and two beers, plus tip, cost us just under $100 so while not cheap - still a very nice evening....More

Traveling with friends, chose La Boca because of reviews but also tapas offerings: something for everyone and we could eat as little or as much as we wanted. We ended up with "much" because the food and variety were excellent. Many more choices than at...More

Many of the tapas reminded me of those we had when we went to Spain, but there were also some unusual ones with New Mexican flair. We went on a Friday night and there was a guitarist playing who was quite good and played a...More

It's not cheap, but they have a great variety of tapas. We were there on a Friday night when they had a guitarist that was amazing - took requests and really seemed to enjoy what he was doing.

This is not a cheap date but the quality and array of foods make it worth the splurge. A wide selection of Tapas for every tase as well as some very nice wines. Spanish octopus? Yep and it was delicious!

The pros: music, interesting tapas dishes, lively setting. Cons: very pricey for what you are getting, interesting dishes but none that really appealed to us and we tried quite a few.

Delicious, inventive small plates. Nice space. A guitarist was playing the night we were there. Had to get used to the extra level of noise, but he was really good and the crowd was into it.

The place where I was staying, The Madeleine Inn always gives great lunch and dinner referrals for Santa Fe. I was told to try La Boca for some wine and small plates of food. La Boca has a fun atmosphere, a good wine list, and...More

This place has great tapas with a middle eastern influence. Our server recommended an incredible rioja that paired well with many different dishes. Make sure you try the bacon wrapped dates. We also enjoyed the live music.

I don't know about the tasting menu, we had dinner there once in May and it was wonderful. I don't think you can go wrong here. Make sure you have a reservation.

Description
Opened in 2006 by 8 time James Beard Award Nominee, Chef James Campbell Caruso.
La Boca has the feel of a lively European wine bar, featuring an extensive selection of carefully chosen Mediterranean and South American wines. Knowledgeable and animated staff graciously guide customers to the perfect wine to complement their meals. La Boca also prides itself on being an ambassador of Spanish sherry culture, transporting its guests to Cadiz in the crisp cool flavors of Fino, or the deep fig-essence of a Pedro Ximenez.
Full to capacity almost every night since its opening, La Boca has been a hit with both locals and the world travelers that visit Santa Fe. La Boca has earned numerous awards both local and national, including the Santa Fe Reporter’s “Restaurant of the Year,” and the International Wine and Food Society’s “Award of Excellence.”
