If you are looking for good English Pub? This the place. It has been around for a while but I have just rediscovered the place. I really enjoy the fish and chips and my wife enjoys the Shepherds Pie. Both are very tasty and you gets lots of food. I also like the crispiness of the batter on the fish.... More

Three of us, ages of 33 and 39, being a tourists wanted to visit this "pub", but didn't have an IDs with us. A security at the entrance didn't let us in and said that we need to have ANY ID. Ok, rules are rules, we took Uber, went home (thanks god it was not far), grabbed our international driver... More

The owner is a true Brit, and it shows. They serve the best fish & chips for miles around! Both a sport bar and restaurant are available. (I prefer the bar.) There is a good variety of draft beer available, including imported brands: Bass, Guinness, Harp, Smithwicks & Carlsberg. Other English meals include: Shepherd's Pie, Steak & Mushroom Pie, curries,... More

This is a great local gem. It's a fun sports bar with British food and decor. Service was good. On our first visit in December we had the Curry and toad in a hole. Potions are large and the flavors were delicious. New Years Day we had a Philly steak sandwich. The sandwich was good but the chips were a... More

Very good food and excellent beers and drinks. Service can be hit-or-miss, though. Mostly soccer on the TVs.

Okay, let's just start by saying the food is not exactly 5-star quality. But it does deliver all the greasy goodness you'd expect from pub grub. The fish and chips is delightful. I am especially fond of a crispy French fry and Crown & Anchor delivers. Also, the fish portions are good sized and the batter is perfect - light... More

As Dick Van Dyke's Mockney accent in "Mary Poppins." Still there's an OK array of beer, plenty of footie on TV and some decent British pub food. To be honest Thousand Oaks isn't swamped with half-decent watering holes and the Crown & Anchor is one of the better ones - not that it's a particular high bar.

I like pubs. The whole idea of friends and family gathering for a meal, a drink, conversation and catching a game or two. In the past I've always occasioned Crown & Anchor for their fish and chips and a draught. It's one of the few local places that practices a Guinness two-part pour (or pull...). Food has always been good... More

Six of us visited on a busy Saturday morning where live football was on one of the many TVs that this establishment has, between us we had the curry half rice and chips, bangers and mash and I had the fish and chips. The waitress Nicola was very patient with my questions concerning what type of fish and how fresh... More

While I've been here for lunch, it doesn't even hold a candle to the times I've been here for a soccer or rugby game. That's when the place just lights up, and you'll hear whoops of joy, and screams of sorrow (often drowned in a pint of the finest brews out there). This is a really fun place to go... More
