Stale food on the bar, very grimy appearance, service was lacking and needed to be cleaned....BADLY! This place needs to be leveled and start over.

Not crowded, understandable. Breakfast buffet not that attractive, some items warm, others at room temperature (grits, gravy). Waitress was OK until the woman who left the womb with a list of complaints arrived. She brought her large family (in every sense) and nothing was right in her eyes. We finished our meal, left a tip, paid the bill and got... More

I have been eating The Slim Jim sandwich for years and it is still as good as ever. You aNy like the full buffet but, I'll have the Slim Jim with Onion Rings any day

About twice a year we stop in at Shoney's for their breakfast bar, especially when we are short on time and don't want to wait for a specially cooked breakfast. On the positive side their bacon is extremely well cooked, nice and crisp. The inclusion of the salad bar at breakfast is a nice addition as well. The potatoes were,... More

We ventured to Shoney's for nostalgic reasons. I loved their breakfasts as a child. I was very disappointed. I am not sure if it is because my taste grew up or because the restaurant had not kept up with the times.

We go to Shoney's for breakfast about every 8 months and I will say it is consistent. Menu items never seem to change, which is a mixed blessing. The bacon was crisp and tasty and the sausages were also very good. However, the "breakfast chicken" (hard overcooked thin discs of well breaded chicken) were all but inedible. French toast was... I honestly have no idea how this place stays open. I check in once a year or so. Always the same problem, terribly executed food. Service can be good from time to time but the food is always pitiful.
