They have a pretty good variety of options on the buffet. Building is dark and old so we were a little put back from this.

I went here a few times because of location. The egg foo young and its gravy are not appealing and could use work. There are hardly any meat selections on the buffet. Has had some health department issues.

Very good today. The food was fresh and tasty. For the money best deal in down. My wife doesn't care for Chinese food but enjoys the food at China Star.

I was waiting on an oil change, so I stopped to eat here. Like all Chinese buffets, it was a bit uneven. Some were really good, others not so much. Staff was very friendly. The ice cream machine was not working and they did not have a sign on it. I was impressed by the pricing. It included a free... More

We went to China Star as it was close to where we were staying in Flagstaff. The staff is very nice. Its a buffet style meal with lots of choices. The price for a very good variety is very reasonable. We had hot tea with our meal. They have soups, rice, noodles, a variety of meat, seafood, and vegetable dishes,... More

We had to go to Camping World to purchase a new refigerator. We had to stop and eat on the way back.China Star is a great place to stop. The food is great and the service is good.It is one of our favorite places to go. We will go back before we head back to the Verde Valley.

If you're wanting authentic Chinese this isn't for you. Dine and dash is the best description I can give. Lots of meat and seafood, very few vegetables which was a shame. Best thing was the hot tea and the fortune cookies

We stopped about 6:00 PM, the food that was supposed to be hot was hot and the food that was supposed to be cold was cold, nothing was over or under cooked. Honestly, I would say this is an "exactly average" restaurant of it's type, Americanized Chinese. Prices were reasonable, service was good, parking plentiful. I would not be opposed... More

As other reviewers have noted, price is low and includes unlimited refill soda, tea (under $8 for lunch, $10 for dinner) so that alone would make it difficult for the restaurant to provide very high quality. The majority of foods were battered and/or deep fried, including two of the three chicken dishes, and those that weren't were higher fat shrimp,... More

Very pleasant experience. My wife, niece and I came to Flagstaff from San Tan Valley to see if we could catch any remnant of snow. I had seen previous reviews of this restaurant but we decided to go anyway since we were in the mood for Chinese Buffet. The staff welcomed us, for Sunday dinner with a drink was only... More
