We went here for a late lunch after touring some mansions. The restaurant is located on the water and has a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff was very good and the food was excellent.

Appetizers are mostly pedestrian with very little taste. Soup, however, was surprisingly good. It was a fish chowder with lots of shell fish. It did need salt. Carpaccio was not prepared fresh and was tasteless. Duck pate was equally tasteless. Cesar salad was good. Entrees...More

An original colonial building that George Washington may have entered greets you. The mussels and clam chowder perhaps the best in America. A big competitor to the Black Pearl next door but the competition is close.

the dining rooms wind through the building and immediately you realise that the walls are full of pictures of Newport's yachting history. Very efficient service and a wine list it would take me the rest of my drinking days to do justice to Great steaks...More

Excellent meals, Nantucket. Scallop ceviche appetizer, loin of venison, carmelized Nantucket scallops, chocolate mousse to die for. Lovely old charm and history. All the wait staff were lovely and there for anything we needed. Highly recommend. Within walking of many great B&Bs (highly recommend Hydrangea...More

Have dined here before and expected the same quality service and food, we were very disappointed in both food and service. Plates were tossed in the table in annoyance, had to ask multiple times for items, water dribble all over table and decaf was most...More
