First attempt to eat at Brick Alley was ended before it started due to a 45 minute wait (this was at the beginning of November 2008, I'd hate to see the waiting time in the summer). finally managed to eat without a wait one lunch...More

This is hands down our favorite New England restaurant. My husband and I have done many weekend trips to Newport and always eat here. The portions are huge, they have a great bread and salad bar. This past spring we brought the kids with us...More

We were a group of 10 people and the waitstaff was excellent. Cheerfull and quick. The food was excellent and the walls and ceiling totally entertaining. Great place with a lot of local flavor.

Overrated. It was loud, crowded and the food and service were mediocre at best.

The food at Brick Alley is decent. The atmosphere is nice, and the salad bar is cool but it's not worth the wait or the price. The Clam Chowder is award winning but everything else is fairly run of mill.

Recommended by a local storeowner and a complete disappointment. We waited 40 mins. for a table, only to have bad service (forgot drink, messed up order) and subpar food (do NOT order the crabcakes). Cool place to look around - awesome collection of local signs...More

We've eaten here a couple of times with out of town guests. We've always picked it because it has something on the menu for everyone, but we're starting to find out that nearly everything is average, if not bad. Service is always good...so if you're...More

The restaurant is right on the main shopping drag in downtown Newport. We were there on a Sunday night and thankfully did have reservations - it was a 45 minute wait for those who didn't. This is a bustling very noisy place in the front...More
