We sat on the outside porch close to the beautiful entertainment. Our waiter was very good and entertaining plus our food was excellent. The restaurant's atmosphere makes for a perfect evening.

So this bar/cafe/restaurant is by the beach but you're best off going in early evening well in time before sunset if you're keen on watching the sun set to grab a table closer to the sea. Anything towards the back hinders your view of the sunset. There's a massively beautiful banyan tree in the middle of the beachhouse. The bar... More

Very nice location and views but overall over priced and not good enough quality. Fish was disappointing.

The good tables can be hard to come by here because the beachfront tables are in high demand. Plan the visit and reserve in advance - you will not be disappointed. Service is excellent, the food is very good and the location/views are top notch if you are seated beach front.

A super-big mahalo (thank you) for the stellar review! And, great advice for future diners: while we think all of our tables are incredible, there are only a handful that are directly on the beach, so reserving early (and coming right when we open) are suggested. If you ptrefer to dine later, you can always let the hosts know that... More

Our last meal on the island. Reservations a must for beach front tables. Hostess and server ... excellent! Variety of dishes tried. Seafood chowder ... excellent. Fish dishes enjoyed by entire party. Steak was a little tough for the price. Apps were also quite tasty. Variety of drinks, cocktails and wine and desert was awesome! Highly recommend for a nice... More

The beachhouse bar is in a natural court formed by an immense banyan tree, planted in 1885. The bar is enclosed on threesidesmbynthe hotel and it's verandas, but opens on Waikiki beach and the ocean, giving guests a feeling of what it was like to visit the first and only grand hotel in Waikiki way back when. The drinks here... More

The Moana is, indeed, the "First Lady of Waikiki" -- in more ways than one: she was the first hotel in Waikiki, but regardless she continues to be the "first" in elegance and fine accommodations! We have a historical room on the second floor, and the Grand Staircase that leads to it is rifled with photographs of days gone by;... More

Aloha to the best dinner, view, experience we've had in a while. We sat right by the water at the end of the porch. Mai Tai was the best on the island. Wait staff was attentive and neat. Aloha! Thank you so much for the wonderful review -- we're delighted you had such a great time. You also bring up a great point: "powered by aloha." To an unfortunate few, the word "aloha" has become a cliché or marketing ploy. To those of us who grew up on the islands, it is much more than that. It is... More
