I went to Hoku’s the very first week that the restaurant opened. It was awesome. Views of the ocean waves, the incredible food from the kitchen and the wait staff that was epic. It’s been a few years and my last visit in 2016 was...More

We had a 5 Course meal for our pre-thanksgiving holiday. The service was spot on, and hospitable. The food was great and very well thought out and intellectual. This is a fine dining restaurant, so a jacket for men is required, and ladies will want...More

Mahalo for sharing your experience! Just a point of clarification, it is totally appropriate for guests to 'dress up' for Hoku's and men are asked to wear collared shirts, but no jacket is required. Fashionably Hawaiian! Aloha.

Visited Hoku’s for my mom’s birthday. The brunch buffet had a good selection of food: sushi, lobster tail, beef roast, rack of lamb, traditional breakfast foods, and more! It was not an overwhelming variety, and each dish was excellent. A bit on the pricey side,...More

Marc, our sincerest apologies that we did not meet your expectations. This was an unusual occurrence, but the distraction to your group and your experience is certainly unwarranted and not to our standards. We will review procedures with our staff. Mahalo for sharing.

This is a wonderful place to sit, relax, and enjoy a good meal. Better during the day because the view is spectacular.

At the risk of sounding too effusive, dinner at Hoku's was sensational. The fish on the sashimi platter was so fresh, it seemed to have just jumped from the ocean right outside the window to the sparkling glass platter on our table. And the tempura...More

Description
Hoku's at The Kahala Hotel & Resort is heralded for its innovative fusion fare which melds Hawaiian, Asian, Mediterranean and European flavors. The restaurant's twist on contemporary Island cuisine ensures that it is consistently ranked as one of Hawaii's best restaurants. Hoku's has a breathtaking beach-side setting with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean from every table in the multi-level dining room. Also competing for guest's attention is the open kitchen featuring fiery hot woks, a kiawe wood grill, and tandoori and wood-burning ovens.
