I live on the mainland but this was the first Roy's that I ever visited, probably 15 or more years ago. I have eaten at Roy's on, Kawai, and in the San Fernando valley in California, and probably some others – but this is still my favorite. The service, the view, and of course – the food. We three chose... More

The staff was excellent, so friendly across the board. We had a late reservation and were the last to leave but they never rushed us out (we would have hurried ourselves if we had known but they were so considerate ). The ribeye and filet were perfectly cooked and generous in the portion. The ambiance was perfect with many people... More

Excellent guest recognition and great service by everyone (hostess, managers, waithelp and bushelp) from opening the door as you enter and as you leave. Have shellfish allergies and waithelp was knowledgeable on this type of allergy. Quality and quantity of food was great as well as their children's menu. Celebrated birthday and acknowledged our birthday guest.

Excellent view of the ocean and attentive service by staff. We enjoyed our fish dishes although it would have been nice if salad/soup came with them. And we had a hard time conversing because of the noisy environment. Parking was free and plentiful.

Roy's Hawaii Kai is outside of Waikiki so its an effort if your staying there to get to this restaurant. But the crowd, ambiance, and mood is appreciated and distant from the touristy feel of the other location on the island. The servers and staff are warm and inviting, but the surprise of the evening was the Rib Eye... although... More

Our family visited Roy's for Thanksgiving dinner. We were seated in a private room on the second floor. The view was amazing, as one wall is made up of windows. They didn't have a special menu for the day, so we ordered from their usual menu, which was fine with us, as we love Roy's food, having visited the Lewers... More

I had a dinner here with a large group catered in a private dining room. I felt SORRY for our Host as the food was dismal--horrible meat, overcooked and tough, slime-y overdressed teeny salad, tasteless sugary desserts and COLD coffee--stone COLD. The waiters were smiles and attentive but they could not make the food any better. I got teriyaki with... More

The food here is excellent for any seafood. Inventive dishes, slightly too large portions. The noise level is a problem as we were seated near a very loud and huge group. I think restaurants need to make areas for people who are partying versus people who are foursomes, for example.

My wife and kept ordering small plates and the Sushi's were great! Rich in flavor and very fresh as you would expect. We also love the consistency of top choices, freshness and creative culinarily attentiveness. The ribs where spot on! More, more and more. The down side, getting too full. A tradition for you is the chocolate soufflé. A must!... More

We went here as a massive treat and for our 2nd year anniversary. We had the set menu which was 3 courses for $50 without wine or $70 with wine. We didn't have wine we had alcohol free cocktails as I was driving which were lovely. I had 2 and my partner had 1 and the bill was $120 without... More
