Akasaka is a gem of a restaurant located on a side street near Ala Moana shopping center. Ordered a sushi platter to share & a salmon salad for myself. The salmon was absolutely delicious; fresh & fatty. The Sushi assortment was beautifully prepared & nice...More

Nice cozy place. Kinda hidden, we missed it and had to drive around. Everything I got was delicious and fresh. The waitress were friendly and attentive. She even gave us a $5 dollar gift certificate for next visit.

When you Google Akasaka, it is described as a late night hole in the wall spot for Japanese food. Away from the crowds of Waikiki, it does look sketchy but the inside is similar to some local spots in Japan. They have an extensive variety...More

My cousin lives on the island and this is her favorite place to get sushi. I do not blame her one bit! Everything we ordered was delicious. We had the fried tofu, fried scallop, at least six different types of sushi, butterfish, and yellowfin. Everything...More

Three visits in a 10 day stay - does that tell you anything? This small restaurant is so typical of those found in Tokyo. The hamachi and butteryaki scallops are out of this world!

This small Japanese sushi restaurant is not easy to find in a back alley nestled between two strip? clubs and a jazz club. But once inside we received a warm and friendly greeting and were quickly seated at the sushi bar as requested. There were...More

This is a little hole in the wall stuck between two dance/strip?clubs in a strip mall. But don’t be concerned. Once you are inside, you won’t remember what’s outside. It was close our hotel and the reviews were good, which it lived up to. The...More

This is my favorite place to have a late lunch. Most sushi restaurants close at 1:00 pm. Akasaka stays open til 2:30 pm. And they always have the freshest of my favorite types of fish. And the service is the best.
