We had lunch here yesterday and it did not disappoint. They have a huge menu with lots of local and Japanese favorites. C had her usual copped steak filled with all kinds of stir fried veggies, F had her favorite, oxtail soup and bought a extra take out of bitter melon and I had the Garlic Ahi. Everything was ono.... This place is a cozy restaurant with a good variety of local dishes. They have a tasty japanese breakfast and lunch/dinner favorites like loco moco, fried rice, and burgers. The device is fast and friendly.

Good place for local food. I only go here for just for the Japanese Breakfast. Its rice, grilled fish, 1 egg prepared any way, pickled vegetables, small green salad and miso soup. I think for the fish you can get Saba, Salmon, Mahi Mahi or Opakapaka. I always get Saba. They grill it just right so the skin is nice... More

Loved the oxtail soup. Although the décor was simple, the oxtail soup was amazing. Can't wait to go back to try again. My son, who is super picky, loved the Loco Moco. :)

Typical Asian foods are nice and good. This restaurant has the specialty that is ox tail soup. This is awesome.

Most of the customers are local folks. There are daily specials including oxtail soup and Kalbi. Cost is not cheap, but portions are ample. Free parking on premises. Not a fancy restaurant to take a date, but adequate for family night out on the town.

Would have probably never tried this restaurant on my own, but we went here on a food tour and I am SO glad we did. We tried the Oxtail Soup and I have been thinking about it ever since. It was AMAZING, one of my favorite dishes from Hawaii.

Located in Kaakaako on Ward Avenue, it was a busy lunch hour with lots of people ordering take out. The inside seats were all taken with a waiting line. I put my order in and sat outside on the picnic bench – they had 2. Had an OK view of the Blaisdell Arena area and mountains. It took a while... More

Stopped by to check out the Hawaiian menu and was happy with what we found. The orders were taken quickly, even though it was very busy, and the food came out remarkably quick. We had mainly soups and a loco moco, and all were delicious and we will come back to check out other items on the menu.
