Although it's not technically in Vicksburg, Bovina Cafe, just off I-20 on exit 11 just outside of Vicksburg is one of the few places in the area to get a good, home-cooked lunch. They usually offer two different entrees and you also get three sides, plus cornbread, salad, dessert and a drink for $11. It's WAY more food than I... More

Bovina Cafe is a small, quaint and extremely friendly place with delicious home cooked food in ample portions! Tucked in behind a closed service station, the cafe features a choice of 2 entrees, with 3 sides, drinks and dessert for $11.00 tax included. Bring cash, as the cafe doesn't take cards and I'd hate for anyone to have to do dishes!... More

Awesome little hole in the wall cafe! Service was extremely friendly. The beef tips and rice were "off the chain", not to mention the fresh veggies & real mashed potatoes. My son had the hand battered chicken tenders and they were delicious. The three of us all had a different desert (included with meal) and they were all amazing. Best... More

Located just off I-20 at exit 11 near Vicksburg. We were going to quilt shops and one recommend this place. It has a very limited menu, but all is good. The price is $12.00 per plate, this included ice tea, a meat or dried fish meal that included 3 vegetables, a very small salad bar and a choice of dessert.... More

Just bought lunch for a group of 18 very picky eaters. Not one complaint. Pretty amazing. Desserts are all handmade. Biscuits are huge.

If you're looking for an authentic local experience of Southern homestyle cooking, put this on your list of stops. We arrived shortly before they closed on Friday afternoon (hours are limited), so they were out of some items - but we enjoyed what we had (veggie plate, lemon meringue pie, and I can't remember what else). Friendly staff - the... More

You know when people mention little holes in the wall, this is a hole in the wall that is definitely worth the visit. They have great real southern food. They make it that day so you only have the choice of a few items, but what they had was delicious and you get a huge bang for your buck. Your... More

I read about Bovina Cafe and had to experience it. We were the last customers of the day. The catfish was gone as well as the mac and cheese. I had: turnip greens, rice and gravy, baby lima beans and squash. Each choice was a good one. The blueberry cheesecake was way too sweet for me. The tea was very... More

Unbelievable amount of food for only $10. That includes choice of meat, 3 veggies, bread, salad, desert and drink. No tax. Vegetable plate (4 veggies) is only $7. Meats and veggies change daily. Choice of many different vegetables and deserts. Save room for an afternoon nap because you won't leave hungry.
