There was nothing special about the menu here (burger, hot dog, chicken sandwich, grilled cheese, etc.). I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich. The roll it came on was typical sized; however the chicken was not. It barely covered half the roll. The pesto sauce was maybe the size of a dime. For the amount of money they charge, it's a... High prices. Ordinary food. Nice seating outside had the chicken pesto sandwich. It filled our belly after a hike. Nothing more. We were tired and it was there so that's how we made the decision to eat there. Should have tried another place.

Trouble is with Yosemite food outlets is that lots close early. This one does great burgers and pulled pork etc but closes early - perhaps a bit later in high season. Nice decking patio with views of the soaring granite walls .

It never occurred to me that when the new concessionaire took over the park, they would mess with a winning eatery. The Village Grill used to have superb burgers and fries, including a Kobe Beef burger. Now, I don't know where they get their hamburgers from, but they are awful. The burger is either boiled or microwaved, and then (in... More

There are not that many food options in the valley, this should not be one of them. The food is mediocre if you get a burger and downright gross for veggie burgers. For the price they charge you can buy gourmet burgers in major cities.

I got a cheeseburger that tasted exactly like the ones we used to get at school, only this one cost me $8.75. Yet another disappointment.

Village Grill is conveniently located in Yosemite Village, adjacent to the Yosemite Village Store. This is a fast food setup in which you stand in a long queue; order at the counter and wait for your order number to be called. There is no inside seating; all of the seating is at tables on the patio. But, the menu is... More

Maybe it was expecting the chicken shawarma to be chicken shawarma but this was awful. A very tiny, extremely dry chicken breast with a glob of what was supposed to be tzatziki is what I was served. The "tzatziki" was some shredded cucumber and maybe a tiny bit of sour cream. Regardless, it was awful. The only saving grace of... More

We were there on a very busy Saturday in August. Getting a place to sit and eat was challenging. The line to order was quite long as you would expect but they had their act together and were able to take our orders and prepare the food in a timely manner.
