We knew we would be in the Grantham area, so looked up ahead where to eat, and found that the Gregory had good reviews. So Off we went. From the outside it doesn't look very promising. Although it is an old building, it had modern signs in the fashionable sagey green that everywhere seems to have. So in we went,... More

We went in a big group and the staff were well prepared and looked after us very well. Generally the food was really tasty but a couple of the dishes seemed to be after thoughts. The prawn cocktail was very basic compared to other options. The crumble was homemade and delicious but drowned in custard, probably because we were a... More

Having previously gone to The Chequers we thought we'd try The Gregory for husband's big birthday. Sunday lunch menu was offered and we were not disappointed. Food was brought out quickly - excellent bread and butter which we would have eaten more of was followed by my daughter and my starter of goats cheese and onion tart and prawn cocktail... More

My wife and I had lunch here which on the whole was quite good. It is a smart gastro pub with a varied menu and plenty of parking just off the main road. We had Monkfish in a Thai stock and blade of lamb with cannons of lamb. The lamb was set on a very tasty mash and served with... More

Lovely place but I feel it is rather expensive for what you get on your plate. I think if price was lowered a bit, it would be a lot busier

Stayed here in Feb 2017, accepting a slightly longer drive into the office in the morning was worth it. Great value for money, excellent food & fantastic service from Tom and the team. The rooms are exceptional. The Gregory cost less than the local premier inn and delivered a 5 star experience. I will be staying at the Gregory again... More

Since Gregory estate was sold off this coaching inn has gone through many revolutions. The field at the back where I used to feed stale bread to "dobin" (weren't all old work horses called dobin?) has long been sold off and covered in houses. The public rooms on the ground floor have been knocked through with a dinning room at... More

I have been here twice before and my experiences were mediocre and poor on those occasions. However, Grantham is seriously lacking in decent restaurants, so when my wife and I wanted to celebrate my new job, we thought we would give The Gregory one last try. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to find. We phoned to... More

We had left Grantham, and on the way to Melton Mowbray were on the look-out for a place to have lunch. We were attracted by the outward appearance and pleasant location of The Gregory. We received a warm welcome and attentive service, with no pressure, and an unhurried invitation to scrutinise their wares. The menu offered a nice variety of... More
