My husband and I got a ham sandwich that was really nothing special and quite small. I didn't hate it but I definitely wouldn't get t again. BUT we also splurged and split this white chocolate Oreo cookie that was absolutely to die for, I would highly recommend their cookies :)

We had lunch here as we arrived in Vang Vieng.. Unfortunately the orange juice tasted off, the sweet and sour sauce was way too salty and the beef in it none existent. My friend took a vegetarian laab and disliked it so much she left the plate almost untouched and ordered a fruit salad instead.. The coke from the can... More

my friend and I had lunch at this restaurant upon arrival to vang vieng because of the lonely planet recommendation. it wasn't a rest restaurant. no one spoke English, which is understandable because we are in Asia, but the service just wasn't great. we ordered our food and then watched the chef cook it, then it sat on the table... We got in the restaurant when we arrived at vang vieng to stop and plan ahead so we entered The kitchen to eat and get some wi fi. the staff helped us with a few phone calls and translation with locals. The food was the same like everywhere, but the great service and help really made it a good positive... More

Although it was recommended in lonely planet its nothing special. Girlfriend had the fried rice with pineapple and chicken which was bland. I had the pork ribs. They were just little dry chunks of meat. Typical tourist prices.

After reading about the Kitchen in the Lonely Planet Laos I decided to try it out. I ordered the papaya salad which had so much fish sauce,it was truly horrible. The pork lemongrass skewers were slightly better but by far the least flavourful ones I have had since being in Laos.

Worst Pad Thai I've had in SEA. Coconut shrimp extremely mediocre. Lonely Planet is totally wrong on this one.

I had a better experience than other reviewers. We had good juices and shakes and nice food too. I had a massive freshly made salad and the others had skewers, spring rolls and garlic bread - they seemed happy. A nice chilled out place to eat.

My girlfriend and I ordered 'salt and pepper tofu' as a starter to share. When it arrived it was quite literally tofu drowned in tomato ketchup, very unpleasant. My girlfriends vegetarian pad Thai was next to arrive which was average and almost definitely also contained ketchup. I ordered the vegetarian red curry, which arrived 10 minutes after the pad Thai;... More
