Travelling with a group we stayed overnight here last weekend. I had stayed here before and previously had the good fortune to stay in a lovely front room with a view of the Castle. This year however the Hotel was quite full due to a wedding and my room was in a different part of the hotel. My room was... More

We visited here on a busy summer weekend for an evening meal. We enjoyed chicken wrapped in bacon, delicious. This was accompanied by Guinness and Australian wine. The staff were attentive, and the locals enthusiastically cheered their local team which was playing a semi final on TV! The decor is homely. The facilities clean. The servings were generous. An enjoyable... More

Met family here for dinner and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The price was reasonable and my salmon was outstanding. Also good service - friendly staff which is nice when you are an overseas visitor. Would recommend highly.

The food was perfectly cooked and expertly served by a lovely waitress. A lively spot with a casual atmosphere. Dessert was delicious as well!

On our way to where we are spending a week in Ireland and I spotted a billboard announcing the wonderfulness of the Castle Bar Hotel up ahead...because of that we found a most wonderful restaurant to have a drink and a bite to eat! We had our pints and the most delicious Club Sandwich ever...there was a mountain of chips... More

I met a colleague for lunch at the Castle a few weeks ago. Although it was lunchtime the restaurant was not very busy. They have a nice basic menu and the food is quite good. Service was fast and friendly and the prices very reasonable. A good place for lunch

Have stopped here for lunch and dinner and even though it was years between both experiences, Im delighted to say, the excellent standard has not fallen. Congratulations to the management for looking after their staff, because their staff are certainly looking after their customers. The service is so friendly, and the waiting staff are very pleasant. Small details like serving... More

We normally go to the Restaurant in the evening time at Castle Durrow for special treats but as it was mothers day we brought our three children along with us 4, 6 & 8. We decided to go for the bar food. As always we were greeted by the usual friendly staff. Anything we asked for was met with a... More

We were provided with well cooked fish and chips which we thoroughly enjoyed. However, it was very busy and as some of our party arrived just before 9pm they were unable to obtain a proper meal. However, sandwiches were provided along with bowls of chips.
