We were happy to pay a bit more in anticipation of a good or even great meal. Sadly La Scogliera is just way over priced relative to their culinary abilities. As an example their Triple Chocolate Mousse was coated with Rice Krispies which from the outset made that dish seem a bit amateurish - I get the idea that the... More

for more than 25 years I am travelling all over the world and as a board member of a multinational I know what is expensive in dinning. This restaurant is a shame. For a small lunch two pastas and 1 aqua frizzante they wanted to have 220€. Telling that there was a lobster with the spaghetti but it was not!!!!... More

We were sailing and were lured into the restaurant by our sailing Gide telling us by eating at the restaurant we got a free mooring buoy ( about 100 Euros). We made the mistake of not checking it out and arrived for supper to find the cheapest wine on the menu was 100 euros and the menu ludicrously expensive! It... More

From the sweet prosecco served at the entrance to the pretentiousness of everything else at La Scoliera, the experience is designed for those who haven't got a clue about what condtitutes a quality restaurant. The atmosphere is as dead as a door nail and most yacht owners wouldn't be seen dead at the place and would be much more inclined... More

Added sommelier but Doubled (!) wine list prices while reducing choice (eg only 4 Sardinian red wines) Food remains good but very expensive Replaced most waiters. Used to be very friendly and professional. Now it's only professional Still probably the best place to eat in the Magdalena archipelago as they pick you up from the boat

Glass of house wine: 15 euro. Place was empty on saturday evening. This makes you think. The chef/waiter never came back to ask if we wanted something else. Made a remark about this, the chef didnt seem interested. What a waste for this location.

I truly have mixed feelings about this restaurant but mainly frustration! It is absolutely beautiful. The service is as good as it gets. The location is fabulous. The decor and ambiance are wonderful. However, the food is simply basic at best and the prices are hugely inflated. I suspect the owners have forgotten that whilst guests on super yachts have... If you own a super yacht (or mega) then this fine establishment is for you, otherwise enjoy but don't think about the cost. Forget the €€€ or go else where. We enjoyed the view, the experience, the brilliant service and very good food. We throughly enjoyed ourselves, we found that even the lowest priced wine was stunning. I shall only... More

Each dish is minimum €30 and there is €10 service charge per person. On arrival to an almost empty restaurant we were left sitting without menus for 20 minutes so we ended up leaving. Plus side views are very nice

Reviews of this place seem to be sharply divided. Yes it's pricey, but it's a special occasion place. We received a warm welcome, amazing table right next to the water, impeccable service and the food was great. We had a very, very long lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience - and I would say it is an experience. Yes... More

Romantic, panoramic sea views, a meeting place of the international jet set, this is La Scogliera. It's like getting together at the table in a magical blend between the fascinating nature of the place and fine cuisine inspired by the culture and the maritime history, both Sardinian and Mediterranean. La Scogliera is not a restaurant, but a lifestyle. A meeting place and a magic one: an oasis in the middle of the sea where the triumph of flavors and blends is accompanied with visual and olfactory emotions. The restaurant is located in the spectacular natural setting of Porto Massimo, north-east of the island of La Maddalena and in front there is the legendary Caprera, the island of Garibaldi.
