Not a restaurant - a real pub with good beer at good prices and a friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy a drink and a chat. Live music and numerous other events - some quite unique. I just wish I lived within walking distance!

Great choice or real ales. Felt warm and welcome and at home. Always have great bands and events Proper English pub. Not many of these little gems left.

This pub has gone terribly downhill, I'm afraid. When I went there, I could smell smoke. It is not the cleanest feeling pub - the loos were not particularly wholesome. If you want a pub locally, go to the Trowel and Hammer, Four Horseshoes or...More

Hello I am sorry to hear of your poor review and I am very sad that your visit was less than satisfactory... I don't know the time when you originally came in as your recent visit to say that it had gone down hill as...More

Good real ales, friendly atmosphere, plain but good grub reasonably priced. Camping in their field at the back of the pub is only £3 a night.

Steve and Lorna have really made this pub work. The Burns night was a tremendous success, Lorna providing a wonderful three-course meal, all home cooked, and the Piper was great. As a Northerner who has lived only a year in Suffolk, I can say that...More

With our 14 year old pub guide in hand we entered this pub in the hope of comfort and some decent food. We were not disappointed as the new landlord made us feel very welcome as valued customers. We ordered hotpot and drinks without knowing...More

This is a pub, not a restaurant, so they only offer a limited range of food but a good range of beer. I'm very suspicious about the review "Oh My" (below). I've visited this pub twice in the past 2 months (I'm not a local,...More

Such a shame to have another disappointment in our local pub. We felt very uncomfortable as we felt as if we were sitting in someone's front room... A young lady was slumped watching tv, while another lady was on her laptop. I haven't rated the...More

Only just re-opened and the place already has a great feel to it. Popped in at the weekend; no meals yet but made to feel very welcome. Can't wait to see how the place develops. Definitely a great start - we will be back!

Did a walk from this pub on Saturday, called in to ask permission to park and was honestly told no hot food ect as they had only been in 3 weeks. Came back to a very friendly reception, had a couple of lemonades and a...More
