My husband and I visit Sasanoki regularly for both lunch and dinner and the food is always great and the staff are very attentive and welcoming. Can't fault it & we often bring friends & family along when they come to town to visit. See you soon! Don't ever change! 👌

Good Japanese restaurant with friendly staff. The food was tasty and well presented. The owner was very friendly and chatted with us. The staff is Japanese so its authentic food. I especially liked the Bento boxes that included soup, sushi rolls and a variety of entrees. Would recommend.

The service is not very good. Sushi is ok but the noodle is really disappointing. The soup tastes like instant noodle soup. Not hot enough soup. The noodle is very thin which is definitely not the noodle for Tsukemen!! This is a scam for foreigner who have never tried Japanese food. We have tried a lot of Ramen and Tsukemen... More

The place was full when we arrived, without a booking, but it appeared one table was taken up by friends or relatives of the owner, so they were asked to move to make room for us. Food was lovely. Not the traditional Japanese food we are used to, but all very fresh and tasty.

Casual place to eat well prepared Japanese food at a very reasonable price. A variety of options that taste beautifully; like home made. Good for lunch and dinner. Within walking distance of lake front.

Looks ordinary from outside but when you enter and sit down, then the magic begins. Superb service. Above and beyond every other restaurant in this price bracket. Food delicious. Perfectly balanced and simple but definitely not boring. The only negative is the very small dining area. Well worth stopping here.

Very disappointed by the quality of the food and the portions that were quite small. I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend...

Bruno, the owner, is always greeting you with a smile, and good food as well. Great Japanese beer on tap too. I'm a local and a regular

What a great find! This is a small and cosy restaurant with a superb menu and excellent service. Authentic Japanese, some of the best I've had outside Japan. Super friendly and well-paced service. Food was all excellent. Family friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Make sure to book, they must have turned 20 people away while we were eating. Recommend.
