Catalan cuisine with a bit of panache, well sourced & cooked, and delightfully helpful staff. The menu changes very little, so the chefs have a great confidence in their dishes.

Probably the consistently best bistro in the area. Catalan in style , & super friendly. This time around we had the daily lunch menu at 12 Euro & excellent it was ! Superb starter of salad with breaded cheese , followed by perfectly done duck....Great wines as usual with the ever attentive (& stylish) staff always make a visit memorableMore

We walked in early, just as the restaurant opened (7 pm, which is the standard for local evening meal) By 8 pm the small restaurant was packed on a Tuesday evening, so I would recommend reservations. Lamb chops delicious. Service excellent . The desserts are...to die for!!!! La Creme Catalane, Mel I mato, and the warm chocolate cake with caramel center with a side of coffee ice cream with almonds and homemade whipped cream. Sorry about the bite. I didn’t realize I was going to die and go to heaven! They are closed Sundays and Mondays. Parking is easy in the central town square.More

We went to this restaurant after a recommendation from our hotel . This place is a great little local spot and was very busy so would book a table in advance. My wife and I shared the paella which you can only order for two people...and it was excellent. The staff spoke very good English which was a big help for usMore

After indulging in seafood on the nearby coast in Roussilion we were ready for a hearty meal and this bistro delivered. Two of us had the lamb chops, one with a creamy peppercorn sauce and another with a reduction made from the sweet, Sherry-like wine...made in Thuir, which is called Byrrh. Good satisfying stuff, with nice touches like a broccoli souffle on the side and roasted peppers. The desserts were a smash -- biggest offering of profiterols we've ever seen, and with caramel ice cream no less. Yum. And the service -- felt like a family run place -- was considerate and attentive and warm. Prices were affordable, too... Mains all less than 20 euro.More

we spent an evening here with two friends and had an excellent meal. The restaurant is welcoming and the food was delicious. The menu isn't huge, which is a good thing as the food is all freshly cooked. At the end of the meal we...asked the Proprietor to call a taxi - she said we would be unlikely to get one as there were not any in her town, and then promptly offered to take us back to our hotel in her car. Now that's what I call service!More

This great little restaurant just celebrated 20 years and, although we've only been going there for 3 of them, we can understand why it's endured. The food is good quality and served in decent-sized portions at reasonable prices by friendly staff. It's cosy in the...winter and has a nice outdoor area in the summer and we never hesitate to take friends there.More

If you are in or anywhere near Thuir then you should seek out this great little restaurant.Firstly the welcome is very friendly and creates a very warm atmosphere. The menu is small and reflects the policy of freshly prepared simple dishes. This is my second visit and...if anything was better than the first. On both occasions we ate outside which is a very pleasant experience.Inside is quite small and has a very intimate atmosphere. The food is tasty and the service friendly and prompt. In summary a great little restaurantMore

We visited this restaurant with friends from Thuir at their suggestion for a meeting place. The restaurant is quite small but has a lovely atmosphere and is "buzzy". Very welcoming as you enter. We all chose the Menu with mussels as a starter which were...delicious as was the fillet steak. Simple but good quality food with great service and a lovely atmosphere. A definite return in the near futureMore
