Having eaten in Amalfi, Sorrento and Pompeii during our long weekend, we spent our last evening close to base, and wandered around the streets of Piano di Sorrento, coming across this place by accident, after 9pm... What a beautiful and serendipitous accident! Admittedly, having no menu and no wine list threw us at first, but such was the charm and... More

A small family Resturante where the locales eat and no menu so be prepared for surprises and delights. From a plate of fried sardines that tasted like chips to pasta that melted in you mouth, don't miss this place. The restaurants is small so get there earlier in the evening, around 8. The best tiramisu and a surprise cherry cordial... More

Osteria Arcadia is a hidden gem serving some of the best Italian food we've ever eaten. From the moment the owner/chef greets you, you feel at home. He told us the menu changes regularly according to what is in season, and he remains true to cuisine from the local area. There isn't a printed menu to peruse, he simply tells... More

So you walk into this place and it looks like a guys wine cellar. Tiny and snug. Then he and (his wife?) cook you an excellent home made meal. This isnt for people looking for hipster high end or service at the drop of a hat. This is like your grandpa cooked for you. Options are simple - a choice... More

We had a look on trip advisor for the best places to eat and this came up as number 2, but it should really be at number 1! We popped in to ask to see a menu before we made a decision, but the owner explained that they don't really have a menu as such, they cook a small selection... More

A friend and I spent a week in Sorrento (staying in Piano), and we went here twice for dinner. It's the closest thing to home cooked Italian that we found, and it was definitely the best food we had while we were in the area. It's a tiny restaurant and there are no staff other than the owner and his... More

We were staying nearby and wanted to try is restaurant as it had great reviews on Tripadvisor. This is quite an unusual restaurant, but in a good way. The restaurant is set in a cave and only seats around 20 diners, so it is quite intimate. We were never given a menu however Pepe explained what was available that day.... More

A small family owned restaurant ... Pepe is the chef and he comes to your table and explains his menu for the evening ! Very limited menu but perfectly cooked local food in such a delightful atmosphere !! One of our favorite meals in Italy. Rachele from Casa Rachele had recommended this restaurant and called to make reservations for us... More

Got the feeling we had arrived too late for dinner at 8.40. No menu but suggested meal was good but not memorable but the cave it's set in is atmospheric

This little restaurant was a wonderful experience! It's only a few tables in a cave, which is a bit of a different setting. The owner/maitre' was a delight! He was so friendly, it was lovely chatting and getting to know him. His service was excellent throughout the night and he really took time to explain the food options and chat... More
