Restaurant was recommended by a friend. We enjoyed it as it is in a typical portuguese setting. Service was fast and friendly. Food very simple but good. Discovered also typical wines.

The service was average and we didn't have to wait too long, but we felt defrauded: The house specialty was supposed to be roasted baby pork. Instead of this we were served pork. It wasn't tender, tasty, roasted as it was meant to be. Although the crust was crispy, the flesh underneath had the taste of "boiled " meat. The... More

The restaurant where you go to eat the tipical piglet. Expensive quality is always assured. Good for lunch or dinner with family.

The most amazing place, leitao was melting and crispy at same time, I rather go to the small restaurants they serve you better and does not feel like a factory. I totally love it and will be back for more. Wine from Alentejo is a killer a must.

Overall, a really bad experience. The piglet is expensive, as you would expect, but poorly served, it was almost shameful the amount of food we got (with two pieces that were pretty much bones and pig skin). In addition, the chips that come with the piglet, kind of like any chips you buy in a supermarket are a real embarrassment... More

Well, Mealhada have several places where you can eat the best piglet ever, so the diference can not be evaluated by the quality of the food, but tha quality of the service,so that´s why amoung several good restaurants in Mealhada I choose this one.

Its a very well known restaurant in the Mealhada area. The "piglet" is a tradicional dish of the area and you should not leave without tast it!

We went to Pic Nic Mealhada first, which was closed at 2:30 pm. A local couple was there also, told us to follow them to Meta Dos Leitos, which was very busy with the end pif lunch rush. The service was quick, the pig was delicious. The salad had a good, tangy vinaigrette. The slightly bubbly red wine went perfectly... More

We ordered roasted piglet for 4 and a bottle of the local sparkling wine. Service was quick. Piglet was nice but on the salty side, and the accompanying sauce tasted of nothing but salt. Portions were not very big, and there was no leftover piglet (plenty of chips left). Paid about 25 euros for person, which I thought was rather... More

Once you have tasted Suckling Pig at Restaurante Rei Dos Leitoes, which is just 100 meters away, you will be disappointed.
