"Leitão" is one of the great portuguese gastronomic treasures which you cannot miss. If you have a car, it's very easy to go there. (National road) It's not expensive, and staff are really nice people. It's a safe choice. Trust me

Excellent food quality; nice and attentif staff. But pay attention to the bill, especially if you have accepted and ate couvert.
Ate here 3 times. I have the suckling pig which is always great. My daughter tries other things. Deep fried octopus on one occasion, kid stew another. Food always well cooked and very enjoyable. Portions are quite large.

The grilled codfish (bacalhau na brasa) is very good. I was not impressed by the suckling pig (leitão à bairrada). The place is huge and maybe because of that staff is too busy to smile or even make sure guests understand what they are saying.
