Love this pub, just a short drive from where we live, whether we are on our own or with family or friends, day or night the place is well populated, has friendly staff and GREAT food ( and a nice pint of Harveys to boot )

Visited this lovely old pub for mid week lunch. Haven't been here for years and not much has changed. 2 roaring log fires on the go. Varied menu of traditional pub lunch and more modern meals. Chose pasta with chicken and chorizo and my friend chose steak and kidney pudding. Huge serving. Very tasty. Quite expensive for pub food. Arrived... More

We stopped at The Queens Head whilst walking the 1066 Country Path. The pub was a welcome stop off point for a drink. We found the staff very welcoming and were pleasantly surprised to find a live band playing (this was a Sunday afternoon). Would love to visit again when we can spend more time there.

We have noticed this pub on numerous occasions whilst driving past on the A259, it is set back a little from the main road so could be easily missed. Looking after the grandchildren during half term we decided to call in as this is somewhere new for us to try lunch; what a very pleasant surprise awaited us. Externally the... More

Friday night dinner and oh my goodness! So very yummy! Husband had the mixed grill which he said is one of the best he's ever had. I had the halloumi burger which was delicious and came with a generous portion of chips and lovely big fresh salad. We both had the fudge cake pudding, the sponge was light and fluffy,... More

A fantastic pub with mouth-watering food, a warm welcome ( a cosy log fire) and dogs and children welcomed We ordered two pints of Harvey's and the seafood platter and a pail of chips to share The platter should have groaned becaUse there was so much tasty and fresh seafood - smoked salmon, prawns in their shell and unshelled ones.... My most favourite place to go for Sunday lunch or any meal really. Superb home made food. Service always 100%. And in the summer the views are spectacular sitting in the garden. Cannot recommend this place high enough.

Right off the beaten track - must be lovely in the summer with the views - on a cold winters day, standing with my bum turned to a lovely fire, under hops adorning all sorts hanging from the ceiling. Lots of nooks and crannies, with "mind your head " signs, and for a Monday lots of people. Would be great for... More

Went to The Queen's Head for Sunday Lunch with family. The quality and quantity was amazing. I went for the Mixed Fish and Chips. This was a lovely selection of prawns, whitebait, cod, scampi and crayfish salad. Other family members had lamb tagine, roast lamb, lasagne. I was surprised to have room left for pudding but glad I did as... More
