Have visited breaktime regularly for lunch on Thursday with a local walking group so decided to give the Sunday carvery a try. We were not disappointed. We had family visiting and everyone enjoyed the beautifully cooked meat ( lots of choice) , great choice of fresh vegetables and sauces to go with everything. As always the service by the excellent staff was outstanding, couldn’t be more friendly and all at a bargain price. We’ll be back

We are a family of four, staying at the nearby Travelodge for 4 days and came here for breakfast every day. Breaktimes opens at 8am and serves breakfast until 11.30 am, with a lunch menu available before closing at 3pm. No need to book, we just called in. It was, quite simply, excellent! The Breaktimes staff clearly put all their customers first, nothing is too much trouble and the service is incredible. There's an excellent choice of menu, which includes free orange juice and free refills on hot drinks if you buy breakfast. Every day our food was absolutely delicious and we felt it was value for money. Very clean, tables all set up with screens.....masks required until seated. Thank you all at Breaktimes.....we'll visit again if we're in the area.

After booking a camping pod In Tal-y-bont and the weather being erm... Poo! Rendering cooking impossible we decided to travel out in search of a cooked breakfast, nothing doing until we hit Porthmadog, after following the phone onto an industrial/retail park we arrived at Breaktimes, did not expect this, attentive and really well mannered young staff nothing was to much trouble, menu options varied from the Vegan to the full blown Welsh, with other options in between . spotless & clean spacious environment. Could not fault, it was like an oasis in the desert that morning! A lot of effort has gone into this place and we would thoroughly recommend it.... Also, well laid out to comply with current covid regs So no worries there. . Top marks!

Absolutely excellent, best breakfast we've had anywhere. If you're in the area this place is a must! Staff go out of their way to help and are so friendly and the food is absolutely delicious! We went with a group of 10 of us, 5 adults & 5 children for breakfast and couldn't fault the place. Breakfast is well priced for great quality food and comes with orange juice and a refillable hot drink (tea, coffee or hot chocolate). Not one item was greasy. Lovely atmosphere, great staff, fantastic food. All of our party we're full of compliments for the place.

My Gran’s been coming here for years so when we were taking her shopping she suggested we stop off for a late breakfast. It was the best fry up I’ve had in a long time outside my mom’s kitchen. Large portions of well cooked food and although it was a fry up it wasn’t greasy. We’ll definitely be coming back next time we’re in the area.

One of the best breakfasts we'd ever had. Absolutely delicious food & the cafe is gorgeous. Everyone was so welcoming, attentive & lovely. I'd recommend coming to Porthmadog just to get a breakfast here! We had a vegetarian breakfast & there was so much detail (vegetarian sausages, black puddings & Bacon) & to top off a brilliant meal they offer refillable teas & complimentary orange juice!

We visited here for breakfast while on holiday and were really impressed by everything. The menu had lots of gluten free options, which was great for our daughter who is a coeliac, and everything we ordered was quality. The team couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, and the value for money is astounding. I'd definitely recommend visiting here at least once if you're in the area

We visited this cafe, the place, food and staff are to put simply, fantastic. It is spotless everywhere, all COVID requirements are adhered too. We visited four times, mainly for breakfast, which must be the best in North Wales, when requested to change anything, this was undertaken without a problem. The staff and boss are very friendly, helped by being a family run business which has expanded since our only visit 4 years ago. The cafe does not have any passing trade and relies only on word of mouth and by local businesses. It’s a must visit if you are in the area........

We found this place from a quick google search. Veggie breakfast comes with quorn sausage and bacon, and veggie black pudding which we found great as some places only do vegetable sausages. Orange juice and refill hot drinks are included in the price of the breakfast. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere and really clean. Would definitely return and we will recommend to everyone! Also has gluten free options available.

If anyone had told me that the best meal I would have in Porthmadog would be on an industrial estate tucked round the back of Lidl. Breaktimes is definitely the poshest greasy spoon cafe I have ever seen. The immaculately dressed maitre de greeted us at the door ,saw us to a carefully spaced table with a glass screen. The menu offered an amazing choice with many dishes including unlimited tea, coffee and fruit juice. All the food was prepared in full view of the customers and the quality was superb. We ate off the top of the menu and it only cost ÂŁ18. Why was it a narrow escape......? If we had discovered Breaktimes before the last day of our holiday we would have been tempted to make it our early morning stop every day

We stayed in the nearby Travelodge and walked down the road 2 minutes to Breaktimes each morning for 6 days. They open at 8am. Each day we enjoyed a very friendly welcome, efficient service with a smile, really good cooked breakfasts, all in a very clean, spacious and tidy environment. There is a great choice of cooked breakfasts and omelettes most with complimentary orange juice and tea/coffee. It was the very best start for each day. There is parking if you choose not to walk.

Staying at the local Travelodge with no restaurant etc, decided to head here for a take away breakfast roll etc, expecting a typical industrial estate greasy spoon with granny cooking. Not a chance. Met at the door by a very smart guy, pointed in the direction of the take away counter and really nice, smart and efficient staff took the order and said they’d bring it out to the car. The place is super smart inside, well laid out, plenty of tables, socially distanced, nothing pretentious, just clean and smart. Parked in my car waiting, we could see the kitchen staff and it was all very very professional. When delivered we drove away to eat it, and tbf, it was great - only had sausage and bacon baps, but could tell it was good quality stuff. If this place was nearer the town, or slightly better known. it would be mobbed! We’re in Porthmadog quite often, this is our new breakfast supplier. Give it a try, you’ll not be disappointed…

My wife and I had heard good things about this little gem of a place so we had to come and check it out for ourselves. We were greeted at the door by a smart gentleman in a shirt and waistcoat and were told we could sit either side wherever we felt most comfortable, then to order at the counter with our table number. We made our choices then went to order. I hate beans on my breakfast so asked for it without, then to my astonishment I was asked what would I like instead of the beans, then I ordered my wife's breakfast no beans or tomato again I was asked what would we like instead. This was such a breath of fresh air as normally if you ask for something to be left off you have to ask or even beg to have it replaced and then in many places it's a no, but to be asked what would we like instead was a revelation, We had chosen to sit in the right hand side where the kitchen is, as a chef myself I like to see what's going on and was really impressed, was being run and managed by a young man with great leadership and management of the staff in his kitchen all seamed to have there rolls in the kitchen and then all brought together by him at the pass to send out. Breakfast was cooked well all components were cooked well and served hot and nice and clean, no greasy slim on the plate with excess fat. The young lady who took my order was really friendly and pleasant, explained that tea and coffee was unlimited and when we wanted more to either come back to the counter or get the attention of one of the staff,. As it was we were asked a few times if everything was ok and it was more than ok It was great to see such effort and perfect execution given to the humble full English. My only slight criticism / comment would be Maybe bigger plates for the Samson breakfast. We will be back Many thanks for a great breakfast

A busy Sunday morning,a little extra wait, but more than worth it. We always call here when in the area, and have never been disappointed yet! Large breakfast at about ÂŁ8.50 each, free drinks to go with it. Service always friendly and helpful, and the food has never been less than perfect. In my near 600 reviews I rarely give perfect marks, this place is one of the few that has achieved that score on each occasion,a.A cafe that has never ;et us down.
