We visited Zia's for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The decor creates a charming ambience and the menu had a good variety of appetizers, mains and snack/shareables - it was hard to make a decision! Our server was attentive and friendly, not too intrusive, very helpful. The food was delicious and reasonably priced - everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. We would go again!

We arrived about 20 minutes before closing and they seated us with no issues. They also didn’t rush us at all. The food was very good and the portions surprisingly large for the price. We had a bottle of local wine, salads and two of the specials for entrees and the bill was just under $100 before tip, which is very reasonable. It’s in an old stone building and the decor is a bit on the ornate side which fits with the building. It was all good.

When covid restrictions somewhat relaxed, we revisited Zia’s for dinner. We were masked to enter/exit the restaurant. We noted that covid rules were posted on the wall, reception and wait staff wore masks and tables were socially distanced. We selected our meals from a new menu that offered salad, an entree and dessert for one overall cost. I selected a bacon Cesar salad, steak sandwich with fries, mushrooms and onion rings with chocolate ganache cake for dessert. My beverage of choice was a locally-made cider. My meal was prepared to my liking, served hot and was very tasty. My dinner companions enjoyed their meals as well.

My wife and I decided to have a small dinner at Zia's tonight. We know the restaurant from past visits and have always liked the atmosphere. While the food was decent I would regard it as far from excellent. We both had pasta dishes. My wife had a chicken with penne dish, that was heavy on penne pasta. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo with prawns. When the dish was served, I asked if I could have a bit more parmesan cheese on the pasta. I was told that there would be a charge of 1 Dollar for that. I declined because I felt that a customer should not have to pay for a spoon full of cheese. When I paid for our meal, I mentioned to the young lady at the front entrance that I found it highly unusual that the restaurant would ask its patrons to pay extra for something that was complimentary in virtually all restaurants I ever had a similar meal. I got a dressing down from her, lecturing me that cheese was expensive and that everyone in the industry was charging for extra. I told her that such silly charge only pulls her restaurant down but received nothing but further talk back. We left shaking our heads.....

We tried Zias at the recommendation of the front desk lady at our hotel. We ordered our food to pick up. The restaurant was busy and bustling. The staff was friendly and our food was ready and hot. The quality of the food was great. Hubby had the beef dip which had great flavour and crispy fries. I had garlic prawns which were cooked perfectly. Mine came with veggies; asparagus, carrots, squash all cooked perfectly and both rice and mashed potatoes. We didn’t get dressing for the salad we ordered which was too bad. The cutlery provided for take out was hard to use, so flimsy and small. I was really pleased to see staff cleaning the doors and the front counter after guests had touched them. Hand sanitizer was provided outside for guests before entering and they had dots on the floor 2 metres apart to indicate a space to wait. I felt the restaurant was doing a great job to keep staff and customers safe during Covid. We would definitely eat here again.

Great family restaurant! We have eaten at Zias with family and friends in the last month and enjoyed both the service, ambiance and food. We choose to eat outdoors to ensure physical distancing and dispite the heat of the day there was a lovely breeze. The menus is a wide variety of Greek and Mediterranean food . At lunch the burgers and the brie chicken sandwich were both tasty. Huge portions. Our lovely and attentive servers were wearing masks on both occasions. Happy to see this Summerland family business open again!

I was surprised at how busy the place was despite the rest of the town seeming rather sleepy. But even though we had no reservation, the friendly staff was accomodating and found us a comfortable table. The atmosphere is homey and inviting but also transports you to some place in Italy or the like. We are not small people and the dining chairs were comfortable. Service was personable, the menu had a lot to choose from. Our food came out with a good timing between appetizers and mains and served piping hot, presented appealingly and at reasonable prices especially for the portion sizes. I liked how dietary restrictions were paid special mind listed on the last page of the menu and there's a sense of family here as many people who dine in seem to know the staff. Will definitely come in again when we are back this way, and will not forget to make a reservation! Thanks for a lovely evening.

I appreciated being accommodated as a walk-up with no reservation; everything from there was down hill. Rushed service, and food that was very basic - like the Cesar Salad was straight out of a pre-made bag. So much promise, great location and building.

Glad you liked our building We have been closed due to covid and recently rehired our staff with social distancing meaning 1/2 capacity We are family run and it has been a major challenge with staff shortages due to opening late season your review is like a punch in the gut as our ceaser salad is made from scratch and has always been raved about. Our food is basic and affordable we are proud of this.... please try to be kind to our industry right now. we are trying in a very harsh environment Be Kind

Thanks Zia's for making the best burgers in the Okanagan! Even as a take-out order, our dinner was still hot and fresh when we sat down to eat it. Fries were crispy, buns were fresh and your caesar salad was, as usual, exceptional! That's why we have to order it every time we are at your restaurant. Delicious! Thanks for being our favorite place to go!

We've been at Zias many times and have been delighted with the food and the service. This time, however, the service was good but the food not so much. Four of us came for their special - Prime Rib dinner. We arrived around 5 o'clock and it was already busy. All four of us ordered the prime rib special and some of us also had wine. When the food arrived, it was lukewarm and before we finished it was quite cool. I found the prime rib small and it appears that the plate had been sitting for sometime before it came to our table. The meat and yorki had some gravy on it that had that dry look. The assortment of vegetables was good but they were also cool. It was a disappointing dinner. We'll return again but certainly not for the prime rib. I love prime rib but this dinner was very disappointing.

Ordered cocktails when we arrived (at 6 PM )only to find out after the fact, they do not have any premium alcohol. Drinks were terrible to say the least. Three minutes after we ordered our drinks the server asked us if we were ready to order our meal, even before the drinks came. Nothing like being rushed ! Ordered 2 french onoin soup as appetizers- received beef bouillon with a sparse amount of onions and no melted cheese on top. What we got was 2 pieces of cheese toast on top of the lip of the bowl. Was flat and tasteless!!! I ordered the ribeye steak at $38.00-what I got was a sirloin steak. I took it home and will be bringing it to our licensed butcher to verify what I just said. The server will remember this ! My wife ordered chicken with Brie and cranberries. The Brie was the size of a quarter! This was our wedding anniv. diner ! We have been loyal customers of Zia for 9 years. Their food and service up to today has been superb! Our meal today was a complete shock. We have recommended Zia's to friends and family over the years, have had large family meals there ( 12 people ) - many good times. I hope this is not any indication of where they are are heading! Thk. you, Brian Maguire

it was recommended to us as the best place in Summerland. We hope that is not the case. Menu enormous, but nothing is freshly cooked, the consistency of the sauces make it clear its out of a box, food below average especially for the price range. Dining room kind of nice and cozy, but we will not be back

It was a perfect day! We ordered the Chef's Daily Seafood Feast for Two which included a large caesar salad. It was a delicious meal with some leftovers which we took home. What added to the delightful meal was a glass of wine and the wonderful service. Plan on returning for the Classic Meal for tow which focuses on meat.

If your mouth has been watering for that Prime Rib with the just right amount of horse radish! This is the place and you don't need a bank loan to pay for high quality food here.some places give you the rib and a splash of potatoes and tell you to enjoy! Here you get count them all, 7 veggies and a pile of garlic spice potatoes that make it hard to decide which is better the meat or the potatoes ! I'm 240 and 6'1" - I may have been better of asking for a doggy bag, but I couldn't stop and waddled out instead! (WHERE IS THE COUCH!!) yes that good! Me and my beautiful wife , a glass of wine and my high test rye and a 20% tip was under a hundred bucks. The Keg in Penticton ... I'd have been another $50.00 and been looking for snacks when I got home. I go here for lunch ,dinner parties etc! and If I get bad food somewhere else ,my line is always "See we should have gone to the Stone House!

Dinner was nothing special, though I understand the overall ‘homey’ and old fashioned theme of the restaurant and it’s food. Another underwhelming restaurant with a cult following of older adults with few experiences and a lack of options in Summerland. I would go back, if someone else was paying the bill.
