Finally able to return after almost two years because of COVID and it was well worth the wait. Best lobster roll for the price on the island. The bun is crammed with lots of the succulent crustacean and the fries are excellent, too. Top it...off with some of their super creamy soft serve ice cream and you have a meal straight from heaven.More

Used to be an avid fan of frosty treat. After my most recent experience I'm thoroughly disappointed. My stomach was so upset I barely made it home. I won't be back.

My friend and I had food poisoning right after having a Pina colada ice cream. I almost threw up in the car. The stomaches are really bad, and there was a foul aftertaste. Please be cautious.

We usually go to Frosty Treat for breakfast, and the breakfast is awesome, but we decided to go for supper on Labor Day, and boy, was that a mistake. When we got there, it was busy, but there were still a few empty tables. We...placed our order, fish and chips for hubby, and clams for me. While we were waiting, at least a dozen more people came in and sat down. When the waitress got to their tables, the first thing she told them was that the wait time was at least an hour. Every one of them got up and walked out. After about 45 mins of waiting, the waitress came to our table and said sorry, we’re all out of fish! So hubby had to order something he didn’t really want. The food came quite quickly after that, but it was a disappointment. While some of the fries were ok, others mixed in looked like they had been deep fried more than once and were greasy and over cooked. We will continue going there for breakfast, we just won’t be back for supper. I felt sorry for the poor waitresses who had to deal with some very upset customers, it wasn’t their fault at all.More

Not talking about this one, but the one down the street on other side. Since they are both named Frosty Treat, have to make this clear. The other one then, this summer, has been garbage. Kitchen was closed for at least a week, no explantion,...just a sign, and it may be still. They cannot make a chocolate dipped vanilla soft serve cone. First they said it was too hot outside, next they said nothing, next time they said the ice cream is too soft. Well buy the ice cream your sister facility across the street does, because they have no problem. Went by the other day, in the evening, nobody there, wonder why. Recommend the first Frosty Treat, not this one.More

A dairy bar with lots of extras. Most everything you could get at a Dairy Queen plus a lot of extras. Been there dozens of times....never any complaints.

The only draw back to this place is that it is so popular and wait times can be long. Food and dairy treats are good. For the dairy bar you can eat in front of it or at several picnic tables. Some are in the...shade behind it which are great on a hot sunny day. For the restaurant you can eat indoors.More

We went hear on the advice of our island friends looking for a great lobster roll. Success, the food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. We had a great lunch.

Called here for some ice cream cones on the way home from the beach. The Frosty Treat used to be worth the drive from Charlottetown just on its own. Their slogan used to be don't drive by, drive in. Do yourself a favour and drive...by. The toilet is disgusting and straight out of a horror film. There was no soap to wash with after either and believe me, you want some. It was a sign of things to come. The vanilla soft serve was out. The frozen yogurt was out. The lack of care and maintenance of the building clearly extends to the equipment. The building looks like its crumbling into the ground, it just looks grubby and filthy all around. The service was slow. The staff had zero personality and all the cheer of condemned people. Perhaps they're trying to demonstrate what should be done with the building? Two of them cleaned while the really miserable one filled orders. Cleaning the place is like trying to plug a hole in a dyke with a finger but maybe one of them could have helped serve the huge line? The cleaning is at least something of a lost cause as I'm pretty sure the building is rotting into the earth. Its also quite expensive for what it is. About 4 dollars for a soft serve cone. They've added a sit in restaurant which we didn't try but it looks just as ready to tumble into the dirt (or made of dirt?) as the rest. At least I could pretty much watch them make the cones. I'd never trust the kitchen but no matter as never again. Keep driving. I'm sure you can do better.More
