Only four menu items but the selections were varied. I had grouper and my wife had the shrimp both meals were excellent. The chef visits the table to explain the meals prior to cooking them. Service was attentive and friendly. Desert is supplied by the bakery across the street.

Some of the reviews I read before visited this restaurant were no menu, no prices, no credit cards (cash only), no reservations (1st come 1st served), and no vegetarian dishes. This is Holbox folks...there are no roads, no room service, and no pay per view movies either. We arrived around 7pm and were greeted and offered a table immediately. I... More

El Chapulin has no menu: there are 4 main courses from where to choose from. Each dish comea with a side order. The chef comes out of the kitchen (where he excels) to talk to you and explains the dishes (you truly don t know why since his diva-ish attitude is totally unnecessary). The house cocktails are very nice and... More

This place has no menu, they buy every day what is fresh and suggest you 4 different dishes. The cook himself comes to explain the dishes. The experience was amazing: the food was five stars, and the service super good and friendly. We will surely repeat, specially knowing that every day you go there the offer is be completely new.... You guys should really review the way you are cooking. First the owner comes to welcome us, than the chef comes to explain they have no menu (ergo no prices shown to people). Explain the dishes. Such a fake!! We ask if there is pepper or chili in the dish and he says NO. Then a fish comes full with... More

Fist of all the staff was really good they give you a warm welcome and they offer you an alcoholic drink that it's amazing, after that the chef approach to your table and explain to you the menu, he... We had dinner several times at what became our favorite restaurant in Holbox town. El Chapulim has no menu, the cook/owner will come out and tell you the four choices you have and you will not be disappointed what ever you choose! I guess this is as close to fine dining you come i the center of town. Naturally a... More

My girlfriend and I wanted to try this place after seeing all the good reviews. We went by pretty early and there were lots of tables available at the time. Simple "no menu" concept is pretty good, but there didn't seem to be any choices outside of the chef's list - but we also didn't ask. Also no starters or... More

Different sort of restaurant-no booking, first come first served so must get there by7pm,One sitting only.Chef comes personally to discuss options with you. These are limited but delicious. More pricey than some, but not prohibitive and fair for the quality. We went back.

My husband and I came here for our last night in Holbox, we call it heaven. We were sat very quickly, even though they were having quite a busy night. Once seated the front of house manager came over and explained that they do not use menus but instead they make their dishes based on the chefs fresh selections that... More
