Shane gave us a boat load of suggestions. Beer was delicious and had a local option, which was nice. Really cool historical photos on the wall related to the rugby teams and other neat things about the town. Food was delicious- burger, chicken burger, and chicken entrees were cooked perfectly and was plenty of food. They are laid back so... More

The restaurant was recommended by our B&B and lived up to the recommendation. We had the lamb loin, a perfectly cooked tenderloin over a salad, and the burger . Both were delicious! Plus, they had a good selection of beers and wines. The outdoor seating was quite nice as well as the service. It was very welcoming and low key,... More

My 18 yo son and I stumbled over the 'Thirsty Weta' after finding the restaurant that we were intending to go to was closed. We're so glad we did. We both enjoyed the Thai chicken noodle soup. Followed this up with some honey garlic prawns and my son vacuumed up the creamy delicious surf and turf. I chose the healthy... More

Stoped here on a road trip to national park. Clearly popular with the locals as a good coffee stop. Only let down was the time the food took to come out. We ordered an item from the menu and something from the cabinet. The cabinet food came out straight away and was consumed and we were left waiting up to... More

Like many others we stopped after visiting the Glow Warm cave. The service was great and the kids enjoyed their pizza, but my pasta dish fell short. If not for that I would rate them very good.

We stop here quite often and have never been disappointed with our meals. Great service and the food comes out quickly so you can get back on the road again. Only fault is they don't start cooking until 10am so if you are on the road early and looking for breakfast you might have to look elsewhere. We also called... More

food was good though the service was a tad slow. enjoyed a beer on tap. a typical sports bar. The old photos on the wall told a story of a great flood that happened in 1958 (hope I got that right!). looks to be a popular pub/venue for dinner.

Cute little pub/restaurant in a cute little town. I found this place to be a hidden gem when I was least expecting it!
