Great garden right in centre of Montagu, add a restaurant serving good food, good beer, what is there not to like.

We went to the Mystic Tin to have some African food, and we decided to try the ostrich filet, and what a meal and wine to go with it. The surroundings were very cozy, - the personnel relaxed and service minded. The best meal we have had on our trip to SA. Best wishes from Birgitta and Flemming / Denmark

This place seems nice and quaint, we were warned of a wait as they were busy, but at 1hr 15 minutes it was beyond ridiculous. If a kitchen can't cope with that many tables they should shrink the size of the restaurant instead of shoving more tables in. Which was a shame as the food once it arrived was pretty... More

Lovely restaurant with excellent food and exceptional service. Waiter was knowledgeable about food and made good recommendations. Food was nicely presented and well prepared.

Had an evening meal at the Mystic Tin, one of the few restaurants in Montagu that was open after 5pm. The staff were very friendly, the atmos was cosy and the food was tasty and good value. Recommended.

We stopped for a light lunch today in the very cute garden with an assortment of curios and bird feeders. We just had a toastie and a burger and they were both delicious...with lovely potato wedges and little side salad. The garden is so tranquil and relaxed, a lovely little oasis. It also has a fab little boutique at the... More

We had planned to dine in a place around the corner but when we arrived it was closed and derelict looking. The Mystic Tin was the next restaurant along so we decided to give it a go. A wonderfully cosy, quirky little gem of a place. We sat indoors but the was outdoor seating available. The two girls on duty... More

About a month ago we booked a table. The reservation was confirmed two days before but when we arived we were told that the restaurant was fully booked but we could have a table outside on the portio. Not what we expected. However, we accepted. The starter was served rather quickly but the main course took a long time. The... More

Food was fine but we felt overpriced for the area. Nice outside area with some craft shops to the rear

We had the rack of lamb but the meat was a bit tough & the gravy over bearing. The wine list not too bad. They do support wines from the region. We had white wine but is was not well chilled. We filled our tummies but we will not rush back.
