We were recommended to this restaurant by our taxi driver from the airport. He said it was family run and the food is cooked like mamma used to make. We had mousaka which had very little meat and was extremely greasy, as were the side dish of chips/fries. The beef stiffado was nice though and the service was quite good.... More

Excellent local food, big portions and still very good prices. The personnel was great as well and instead of raki they served some nice dessert.

Typical Greek restaurant in a very nice setting. Plenty to choose from and yummy food. As the previous reviewer mentioned , the Kleftiko is really good. The service is attentive and helpful. The place is always full, so make sure you are on time or reserve a table. Strongly recommended.

We were staying one day of our trip in Platanias and I am glad we came to this place. First impressions were not so high, but felt right away like home when we sat down. I ate best Kleftiko ever, it was just so so tasty. Also house wine was great. Just go there and try that Kleftiko. I bet... More

Hello! I'm Greek, so I know a bit about Greek cuisine. I really enjoy Drosia - you'll never catch it empty .. a good sign that a place is worth it all around. The environment is adorable, authentic and family friendly. The service is quick but most importantly, ask for Yianni. He is unbelievable and has been working there for... More

Although Platanias in Crete is a "tourist area", you can be sure that this restaurant is Greek. And I mean authentic Greek! Lots of food on your plate (as it should be in this country) and the staff is warm and welcoming people! Definitely not the last visit for us. Please try their Spicy Saganaki (sticky hot cheese with peppers... More

The avocado salad is good - well seasoned. The two main dishes, a pasta carbonara and a Boureki were without taste.. Really boring and we need to season it a lot. The waiter at the door was great. The second waiter was annoying - just a poor attitude. We're not coming back and honestly don't get the good ratings.

As the title states, the tavern "Drosia" is a nice big restaurant with kind personnel and good food. The prices are the typical you find in Greece and not overpriced like the other restaurants in the area because of the tourism. Nice greek music playing on the speakers and atmosphere.I recommend ordering the grilled chicken filè. They also buy you "raki"... More
