It was a fantastic view to see the sun go down, there was not so much people so we got a good table. The service could be better, we had the feeling that the waiters was not obs on the customers. The toilets was not so good.

We have visited Chania area in Crete several times. Each time we always go to Platanias Palace Restaurant. The little steep walk is worth it. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. The views are stunning and if you time it right you will see a breath taking sun set.. The staff are really great and good fun, had... More

Overlooking Platanias and the Mediterranean Sea, Platanias Palace is situated uphill, off the main road. After a two or three minute walk uphill, you arrive at the restaurant which is located on three levels. We ordered Greek potatoes with garlic butter, Saganaki cheese and stuffed vine leaves as starters, lamb kleftiko, moussaka and pork souvlaki as main courses and a... More

Platanias Palace captured my attention as it is slightly above all the other restaurants (located on a small hill on the otherwise flat Platanias). Three years ago last time and now again. The view and atmosphere were still good and the food very good. The staff was very friendly too. The prices are reasonable but a little bit higher than in Agia Marina restaurants but the view is worth of that. Choose greek food, you'll not be disappointed.

We walked by the beach to Platanias and then up to the restaurant, which is sitting on top of the old town with the absolute best view of the bay. We were 4 persons (3 adults) and had starters with Greek salad, tzaziky, garlic bread and fried cheese. Very nice and tasty. Continued with 4 traditional Greek main courses -... More
