My husband picked it out based on the street side menu. The best meal we had all week in Italy. No downsides. Low season, so few customers but everything fresh and delicious. No idea how they do it. Amazing!

Our hotel concierge recommended grappolo blu. The restaurant itself is very quaint and you feel like you are walking in to someone's home being served by family members. The food was amazing. Pic of menu is attached. We each had the pinci pasta, which is known in that region. I had tomato and basil sauce, my husband had the mest... More

Food is traditional Italian. All the sauces for the crostini are made in the restaurant. The wine list is of the size of the Bible. Definitely worth the visit

Nice food, good wine, calm and relaxed. English speaking staff and menu in English, good advice on food and wine. Good for dinner after a long tourist day

If you're in Montalcino, this place is a must! Hearty Tuscan dishes and an amazing selection of wines. the caramelised onion starter is just heavenly! there was a large group of us so we got a selection of everything to share and all the dishes were melt-in-the-mouth delicious!

Very simple decoration, great service, and excellent food. Large list of wines, with reasonable prices. We were two, arrived late at night and nonetheless the owner was very solicitous. We both had pasta as primo piatto, and meat as secondo, and they were really great. Deserts were good, but not up to the level of the pasta and the meat.... More

After a day of tasting Brunello, at a vineyard in Montalcino, we wandered hesitantly to a direct sale winery for a tasting. My wife twisted my arm and we had a wonderful tasting from the Villa Le Creta shop. Our host suggested this restaurant next door and we purchased a 2008 VLC Brunello from our host. He dropped it off... More

Food was acceptable, service a little condescending. Food to price value marginal. A lot of loud Americans oblivious to anyone, a few locals who probably have learned to put up with it.
