A charming little pub just outside Dungarvan. The chef here really knew what she was doing. My muscles in white wine and cream were bursting with flavour and freshness served with delicious homemade brown bread. My partners hake with prawns in garlic butter was delicious and also faultless. The staff were pleasant and friendly. If you're in this area a... More

Went for our Sunday lunch. Service was fast and the food was ok. Thought the price was expensive for what it was and the portions were on the small size

I stayed at the holiday houses run by An Seanachai for 5 nights and spent quite a bit of time in the pub! We ate there several times, each time the food was excellent. We could have made the effort to eat elsewhere, but honestly, why would we? This was so reliable and with the friendliest service I've had in... More

What a pure delight and surprise the "An Seanachai Bar and Restaurant" was. Nestled just off the main Cork road above the historic town of Dungarvan, Co Waterford. My First impressions were of a small thatched roof building, designed to maximise on passing tourists. But to my surprise, the building was warm and inviting, a taste of Ireland past with... More

Had a couple of great meals there. You can step up to the bar and have pint with locals. If you like a meal they have a changing menu, which gives you a chance to visit many times without the same menu.

Lovely cozy dinner for our family when we visited the area during our visit to Ireland. The food and dessert were great. The Irish coffees were also very well done. It is surprising to find such good food at such a little bitty place. We will return again!

We stayed in a roomy cottage with friends and ate at the Seanachai multiple times. Beef/Guinness & Irish stews were a favourite. The ambiance was warm, service was excellent and sooo friendly! It felt like family. Sit by the fire and experience Irish hospitality

We have been here a few times, and ended up with the most well cooked prawns, sole, plaice and even lamb dish. We were most impressed by the size and recipes of the fish and shellfish dishes. The Manager was around all the time, and the Staff were very attentive and alert to ones requirements. It is a lovely place,... More
