We have been to this restaurant many times and the food is consistently good. We usually visit as a couple but also take family and friends, and each time we have had excellent service and a lovely evening.

We have dined at The Market Place frequently and is by far the best restaurant in The Vale by a country mile. Whilst a little more expensive than other restaurants in the area it is well worth the difference with a menu selection, quality of food and presentation being head and shoulders above the rest with the added bonus of... We booked The Marketplace for Saturday, 18th March to celebrate my wife's birthday. Our two teenage boys joined us and we hoped for an enjoyable, celebratory night out. The Marketplace was simply outstanding. From the very comfortable, and good sized, table in the pretty bay window, to the warm, welcoming decor, the atmosphere was perfect, particularly welcoming given the dark,... More

Probably the best restraunt in Cowbridge in my opinion. It is exspensive, but the food is simply incredible. The customer service is always on point. I had the duo of lamb and it was probably one of the nicest meals I have had in a while. My mother had bass which was fresh and tasted devine. The rest of the... More

Had a beautiful Saturday nite meal here with husband, queried about Gluten free meals when we arrived and being shown to our table, Our waiter Vincent came over to take our coats, then he gave me a detailed explanation of all the things that were gluten free, very informed he was about all the dishes on the menu. Very friendly,... More

First time we've eaten at this restaurant, but will definitely return. We had the two course set lunch; shepherds pie was excellent with very tasty Welsh lamb and thick gravy, parsnips and green beans. Pork tenderloin sliced and wrapped in bacon served on mash with green beans, was also very good. Dessert was sticky toffee pud, and a hazelnut and... More

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Great service, excellent wine selection and fair prices. Honestly some of the best food and service I have ever had.

Good food, awful service. Once the bill was paid (which contained a £20 tip added by the restaurant, which was hidden in the bill, and not itemised as service charge) the staff were no where to be seen and we had to hunt for our coats etc. ourselves. On our way out with not so much as a thank you... More

What an amazing restaurant. The food and decor were amazing. Reasonably priced too. The wine was excellent as were the staff and the service. Cannot recommend this place enough. Top draw.

We recently spent an evening at the Market Place with our son and his fiancée. We were lucky that there had been a cancellation at the restaurant because we had not reserved a table before arriving. What a lovely experience. I had the warm prawn cocktail, followed by the halibut and Bailey's panacotta. The table service was excellent. It was... More

Our restaurant is set in one of the most historic buildings in the beautiful town of Cowbridge, and exudes a timeless atmosphere. In winter we continue the old traditions with our warming log fires, and summer brings outdoor dining in our lovely walled garden. We offer a wide variety of freshly prepared modern European dishes, locally sourced and carefully arranged by classically trained chefs. We offer a fixed price lunch menu, £15.95 For two courses, and an "Early Supper" menu served from 18:00 - 18:55 Wed. - Fri. Which at £15.95 offers a great value way to sample our fantastic food or if you prefer we also have our fantastic Ala Carte menu .The Market Place has become a bye-word for the best in food, dining and ambience.
